From Champignyata,

I'm Colleen Thomas.

This is Daily Magic for Peace.

♪♪♪ Today we will take a mental health break.

Welcome to the circle.

So the only thing you need today,

If you have it,

Is a kite.

Do you have a kite?

Maybe in your garage or your closet.

If you don't have a kite,

It's fine.

Picture the last time you saw a really cool kite.

Where were you?

What was happening?

What was that kite like?

What was so cool about it?

As we arrive today and center and land and join as a circle,

I invite you to take a breath.

And notice yourself now in this moment,

Part of this circle,

Part of this group of people you will probably never see in real life.

But maybe you can feel the energy of all of us here,

Connecting,

No matter when we listen to this podcast,

Creating this circle together as one,

Sharing this intention to gather,

To do some magic for peace.

And to get started today,

I invite you to notice what you are sitting,

Standing,

Or lying on and feel your weight dropping down,

Relaxing down,

Connecting down until you find the beautiful earth beneath you,

Until you find the mother supporting us all.

And you might want to pull up some of that rich,

Nurturing earth energy,

Allowing it to flow up into your body,

Maybe fill your aura,

Fill your bubble space,

Fill that space around you,

Filter into your fingers and your toes and your eyelashes,

In your sixth chakra,

Your third eye,

Just letting it kind of fill everywhere,

Bringing you that nurturance,

That love from the mother.

Notice if that makes you feel a little more grounded,

Filling your whole being with earth energy.

See how that feels.

And from this grounded,

Centered place,

You might join me in becoming aware in a very peripheral way of any busyness going on in your world around you,

Just on the periphery,

Any projects you're working on,

Any demands on your time,

Any world events that are tugging at your heart.

Just noticing those things on the periphery of this lovely,

Grounded space,

This centered space you're in.

And as I notice those,

I feel them calling me in different ways.

Some of them are calling me to rush to support or help or fix.

Some of them are calling me out of a sense of commitment,

Out of a sense of partnership,

Out of an agreement that's been made to show up.

There's all different kinds of things,

On my periphery anyway,

That are around me,

That are calling me.

And yet I'm gonna take this moment with you to remember who I am and to center and to ground so that when we're done,

I can go back to them a little calmer,

A little more sure of myself,

And probably a little more effective in my work,

In my connections.

So I invite you to just notice the things on your periphery.

And I wanna invite you to join me for a quick escape.

I know we're already in this really nice,

Grounded space,

But what if we kind of snuck off for two or three minutes and took a break,

Just took a legit break,

Well,

An imagined legit break from these things that we wanna show up for.

What if we grabbed that metaphorical kite and we went to a beautiful,

Grassy field and we found a way to get that kite flying way up in the sky,

Maybe with a friend,

Maybe on our own,

Depending on how skilled we are with kite flying,

And just find yourself there.

Find yourself in that field,

Holding that sky,

Find yourself in that field,

Holding that string,

Looking up at that amazing,

Beautiful kite,

Whatever your favorite kind of kite is that you pictured before.

Picture yourself working with this kite,

You,

The kite,

And the wind,

Playing with the invisible element of the wind,

Letting the wind interact with your kite.

Your kite,

Your body,

The wind,

The sky,

See it really clearly.

Are there any clouds today?

How is your kite moving in the sky?

What does it feel like as it pulls in your hand?

Does your body wanna dance with the pull?

What's the ground like beneath your feet?

Can you smell the grass?

What is your whole being opened up to this experience feel like?

And is there a place in your body and is there a sense of freedom of play,

Of escape,

Of going to fly a kite like they say,

Go fly a kite,

Right?

We're imagining we're actually flying a kite.

What is it like?

Why do they say that?

Why do they say go fly a kite?

What is it about this feeling,

This action,

That makes it such a freeing thing?

See if you can catch that.

See if you can feel that.

What's the freedom,

What's the feeling,

What's the body sensation?

See your kite,

See the sky,

And allow this moment to land in your heart as a moment of freedom and escape just for you,

Just a refreshing,

Perfect moment just for you.

And you might join me in a breath.

And we're going to transition back away from the field.

You can let go of the kite.

You can find yourself slowly transitioning back into the space where you are sitting,

Standing,

Or lying,

Whatever your world is like right now.

And you can let go of the kite.

You can find yourself slowly transitioning back into the space where you are sitting,

Standing,

Or lying,

Whatever your world is like right now.

And remember that grounding to the earth.

You might still notice those things on your periphery.

And I give you permission to interact with them when you're ready.

And I thank you for taking this time to go fly a kite with me.

And I hope that you find the time to let go of the kite.

And I hope that you find the time to let go of the kite.

And I hope that you find the time to let go of the kite.

And I hope that you find the time to let go of the kite.

And I hope that you find the time to let go of the kite.

And I hope that you find the time to let go of the kite.

And I hope that you find the time to let go of the kite.

And I hope that you find the time to let go of the kite.

And I hope that you find the time to let go of the kite.

Please consider inviting a friend.
