Welcome to breathing in a new beginning.

Sometimes we really do need just to pause,

Take a breath and begin again.

So let's begin now by finding a comfortable position for the body,

Either seated or lying down.

Allow your body to settle.

If you're seated,

Feet are grounded,

Spine is tall yet relaxed and the shoulders are soft.

If you're lying down,

The body's heavy as the muscles release to the earth.

If it feels safe,

You might gently close your eyes or lower your gaze.

Take a moment now to notice where you are,

The sounds around you,

The feelings of your body being supported.

There is nothing to change,

Nothing to fix.

Bring your attention to your breath.

Simply observe it as it is,

Natural,

Steady and present.

Now let's take a slow breath in through the nose and a long breath out through the mouth.

Again,

Breathing in and breathing out.

Return to breathing just through the nose,

Breathing in slow and breathing out slow.

And with each breath,

Allow yourself to arrive fully in this moment.

As you inhale,

Silently say to yourself,

Breathing in a new beginning.

Feel the freshness of the inhale like opening a window to clear air or opening a page to a blank page or sitting in a quiet dawn.

Now as you exhale,

Silently say,

Releasing what no longer aligns.

Let out the out breath and let it carry away expectations,

Old stories,

Habits or energies that no longer serve your values or purpose.

Continue this rhythm now for a few breaths.

You might just shorten it a little to say,

Breathing in new start,

Breathing out release.

And as you're breathing,

Remind yourself you are not trying to silence the world around you.

Sounds might come and go,

Thoughts might arise,

But that's okay.

Instead,

You gently shift your focus inwards and you're cultivating a sense of stillness within you.

This calm center that remains steady even when life is busy or noisy.

Now let's imagine this stillness like a quiet lake beneath the surface.

The world may ripple above,

But below there is depth,

Peace and clarity.

With every inhale,

Feel yourself anchoring more deeply into this inner calm.

With every exhale,

Soften any tension you are holding in your jaw,

Your shoulders,

Your hands.

Let's continue this now for a few more rounds.

If your mind is wandering,

Simply notice it with kindness and return to the breath.

There's no success or failure here,

There's only practice.

Now bring awareness to your values.

What truly matters to you as you step into this new year?

Not what you should value,

But what feels honest and aligned to you.

Without forcing words,

Allow a sense,

An image or a feeling to arise.

As you breathe in,

Invite these values to guide you.

As you breathe out,

Release anything that pulls you away from them.

Feel yourself becoming more anchored.

Anchored in intention,

Grounded in presence.

Take a few moments here in silence,

Breathing gently and resting in stillness.

As we begin to close,

Place one hand over your heart if you wish,

And feel the steady rhythm beneath your palm.

A reminder that you carry calm within you,

In every heartbeat.

Set a simple intention for the year ahead.

It might be,

I move forward with clarity,

I choose alignment over urgency.

Or I return to stillness when the world feels loud,

Or choose any other intention you might have.

Now let's take one final deep breath in,

And a slow,

Complete breath out.

When you are ready,

Gently opening your eyes slowly or lifting your gaze.

We are going to carry this inner stillness with us,

Not as an escape from the world,

But as an anchor within it.

Thank you for joining me,

And until the next time,

Take care.

Www.

Mooji.
