I am Sequoia of Sequoia Yoga and I want to invite you on a minute-long reminder to breathe meditation.
During my time as a mind-body therapist,
I was instructed by my 900-hour teacher that it is my responsibility to breathe during my therapy sessions because it would then remind or signal my client to breathe as well without having to verbalize anything.
And that tool has served a powerful purpose in my life and the lives of the clients that I have worked with.
So now I oftentimes use that practice even outside of the therapeutic space to remind others around me to breathe.
And I would like for this minute-long breath track to serve as a reminder to you to also breathe long after you've turned off this recording.
So whether you're walking down the street or working on a big project or sitting on the couch with your family,
I would like for this to just pop into your head and say,
Oh you are holding your breath.
It's time for you to inhale,
Exhale.
So go ahead and get comfortable.
Find a seat with your back supported so that you can really focus in on your breath and come into your body.
And then just listen to the sounds of my breath.
Relax your shoulders.
And as this one-minute guided breath track comes to a close,
I thank you for joining me.
I thank you for showing up for yourself.
And I thank you for all of the future moments that you remember to inhale and exhale.
