Welcome to this meditation of affirmations for sleep.

I invite you to get really comfortable in bed or wherever you're going to be for this practice.

Take your time to get settled and cozy.

You may wish to turn your phone on silent.

Give yourself this gift of uninterrupted rest.

Start to deepen the breath as you close the eyes.

Let's take a slow,

Deep breath in together and a long,

Slow exhalation out.

Now we'll inhale through the nose for 4,

3,

2,

1.

Pause and hold the breath for just a moment if that's comfortable.

And then exhale through the nose for 4,

3,

2,

1.

Again,

Pause for just a moment if that's comfortable.

Inhale for 4,

3,

2,

1.

Pause and hold or just move onto the exhalation.

Exhale for 4,

3,

2,

1.

Pause.

Continue breathing in this way,

Counting in your own mind.

Breathing in and out for approximately 4 counts.

And taking some time to pause between the breaths.

And now release the counting,

Breathe naturally.

Affirmations are so powerful.

When we repeat them,

Not only do we at times introduce new ways of thinking,

But we can actually start to retrain the mind and rewire the brain.

The more we have a thought over and over again while experiencing a strong emotional sensation,

The more likely it is we will actually create new pathways of thought in the brain.

I invite you to repeat each affirmation silently in your mind.

And as you do,

Imagine it is the truth of your life experience.

Feel your body settling,

Sinking deeper into this cozy space you've created for yourself.

I am calm and peaceful.

I am breathing in relaxation.

I release all tension from the body as I prepare for sleep.

I am filled with a sense of deep peace.

Sleep comes easily to me.

Sleep is a beautiful form of self-care.

My heart is full of gratitude.

I focus on the good in my life.

At the end of the day,

There is so much to be grateful for.

My body is relaxed and I feel light.

I am feeling calm and peaceful.

My confidence and happiness increase as I sleep.

My mind is quiet and peaceful.

With every breath I take,

Calmness washes over me.

I am deeply relaxed.

I am thankful to be where I am.

I am breathing deeply and slowly.

I am grateful for my bed and my quiet body.

I am allowed to feel good.

Peace and happiness are my priority right now.

I acknowledge myself for doing my best today.

I welcome sleep.

I am relaxing my head.

My body sinks deeply into sleep.

This is my time to heal.

It feels so good to be still.

I cherish my relationship with sleep.

I am thankful for this time to do nothing but rest.

I am relaxed and ready for a night of deep sleep.

I always sleep well.

I am feeling at ease.

I love and accept my body.

My heart is happy and relaxed.

Everything is perfect in this moment.

I am happy to give my body what it needs.

I allow my brain to rest now.

I am filled with a sense of gratitude,

Peace,

And contentment.

I am worthy of rest.

I deserve peace.

I am safe and secure.

I am cared for.

I am grateful for today's lessons.

The outside world is fading into the background.

I allow myself to be here now.

As I lie here,

I embrace stillness.

I am becoming sleepier with every breath.

My life is filled with beauty.

I am compassionate with myself and others.

My heart is open to receiving the love life is pouring into me.

I allow myself to be just as I am.

I deeply love and accept myself.

I am drifting into a sweet slumber.

I am grateful for this deep peace.

My body is relaxed and I feel light.

I am feeling calm and peaceful.

My confidence and happiness increase as I sleep.

My mind is quiet and peaceful.
