I invite you to find a comfortable position,
One which allows your body to fully relax and let go.
Allow your shoulders to drop and melt.
Allow your breathing to become fluid and easy.
Finding yourself that meditation isn't about trying to create a particular state,
But a relaxing,
A letting go,
A remembering of the peace that is already here.
Allow awareness to reveal to you now your natural,
Uncontrived state.
Allow yourself to fall into this peace which surpasses all understanding.
I invite you to bring to mind now some issue,
Problem or emotion that's been spinning for a while.
And in this moment,
Could you simply welcome whatever memories you have about that problem?
Could you also welcome whatever thoughts or beliefs you have about it?
And could you also welcome all the feelings and all the sensations?
Could you just let all of that be here now?
And now,
Could you also welcome all your wanting to fix it,
All your wanting to change it,
All your wishing the spinning would stop,
Or all your wanting to understand it?
Could you simply welcome any wanting to do anything with the problem?
And you may notice that simply doing that allows it to unravel even more.
And then,
Could you also welcome any sense that that's personal,
Any sense that it's about you or who you are,
Any identification with the spinning?
And notice as you do that it begins to unravel.
It starts to relax and open inside.
And then,
As best as you can,
Simply look through the whole spin,
Whatever is left of it,
And check to see if there's anything actually inside of it or if it's simply hollow or empty.
And then,
If there's still any holding on in this moment,
If there's still any remnants of the problem,
As best as you can,
Just for now,
Could you let it go?
Just could you?
Would you?
And when?
Once again,
Notice if there are any remnants of the problem here.
And as best as you can,
Just for now,
Could you let it go?
Just could you?
Would you?
And when?
And one final time,
As best as you can,
Just for now,
Could you let it go?
Just could you?
Would you?
And when?
May you be well.
May you be at peace.
Namaste.
