Hello and welcome.

Welcome to Self Healing Mondays.

A place to come to give yourself a little time away from the rest of the world.

A place to come to step away from all responsibilities,

All to-do lists,

Work,

Chores,

Obligations.

None of that exists here.

This place is all and only for you.

Take some time to tune into yourself,

To quieten your mind,

To tune into your heart,

To relax your body and to soothe your soul.

You are so welcome.

I'm happy that you're here,

Giving yourself this time that you deserve.

What are you yearning for that you're not receiving from the people in your life?

What do you need that you don't feel like you're getting?

I'd like you to take a moment and really think about this question.

What is it that you feel like you need from other people?

Kindness?

Respect?

Attention?

Affection?

Communication?

Quality time?

What if I told you that you don't have to wait for people to give you any of those things?

What if I told you that you don't have to wait for the things that you long for?

What if I told you that you bring the things you need into your life?

That all you have to do to get what you need is to give yourself what you long to receive from somebody else.

Do you want more attention from someone in your life?

How much attention are you giving yourself?

Do you stop everything you're doing to just sit and be with yourself?

To truly tune in and listen to your heart and your soul?

Before asking someone else to give you more of their time,

Perhaps you could start giving yourself your undivided time and attention first.

Time when you aren't doing anything else but being with yourself.

Connecting to yourself.

Like what you're doing right here,

Right now.

How can you give yourself the attention you've been craving from others?

Do you long for more affection?

How much affection do you give yourself?

When you need a hug,

It's a beautiful and powerful thing to wrap your arms around yourself and give yourself the affection your soul's craving for.

And you can show yourself affection simply by the way you wash yourself in the bath or the shower.

We're always in such a hurry.

We shower ourselves,

Disconnected,

Our minds full of thoughts,

Far away from ourselves and the beauty of caressing and nurturing ourselves when we bathe or shower.

Next time you're in the shower,

Don't just wash your body.

Wash your body consciously.

Take your time.

Caress your skin.

Show your body the affection and the appreciation that it deserves.

You don't need to wait for somebody else to do that for you.

Do you wish somebody in your life would respect you more?

How much respect do you show yourself?

Do you treat yourself kindly?

Do you respect your boundaries,

Your needs,

Your sensitivities?

In what ways do you respect yourself?

Do you protect yourself from people who take liberties?

Do you believe in yourself?

Or do you constantly put yourself down?

Before expecting or hoping or wanting or yearning for things from other people,

We must first learn to give those things to ourselves.

Then you'll discover that the things you wish and long for will no longer feel so urgent.

There will no longer be a lack or a desperate feeling to feel a void or emptiness because you would have already filled those parts of yourself with your own love.

I'm not saying don't wish and want things from others.

I'm saying start with you first.

And once you've perfected getting your needs met by you,

You'll see you've already provided yourself with everything you thought you needed from somebody else.

And so when you do receive those things from other people too,

It will feel especially more exquisite because it will be an added bonus to everything you already give to yourself.

You can fulfill your own needs.

You can gift yourself with the things you long for.

You can be somebody who is kind to themselves,

Who is thoughtful,

Affectionate and attentive to themselves.

You can be the example of what you long for.

You can provide yourself with the things you long to receive.

And not only will you feel much better about yourself,

But the people around you will feel much better too.

I'm going to give you some time now and some space to give yourself a little of what you might be needing right now.

Perhaps you crave affection,

In which case,

Just put your arms around yourself and hold yourself tenderly.

Perhaps you crave attention,

Then use this time now to turn your gaze upon yourself.

Use this time to truly be with you,

Because you can give yourself what you need,

Right here,

Right now.

We're coming to the end of the meditation now.

Before we go back to reality,

Let's just take some deep breaths together.

Deep breath in through the nose and relax,

Sighing out the mouth.

Deep breath in through the nose and relax out the mouth.

And one more time,

Deep breath in through the nose and relax.

Coming back into your body,

Into this time,

Into the space that you're in.
