Hello and welcome to Self Healing Mondays.
My name is Saskia and I'm really happy that you're here.
I'm not just saying that,
I mean it.
I really am happy that you're here listening to this meditation.
Because the fact that you're here listening means you care about yourself.
There's part of you that loves yourself and wants to help yourself heal.
And this is the place to come for that.
Self Healing Mondays is just a beautiful hour to forget everything else,
To just stop and turn inwards.
Just 60 minutes of making it all and everything about you.
So feel into that.
How does it feel to know that you are here right now purely 100% focused on taking care of you?
That should feel good in your body.
That should feel good in your bones,
In your muscles,
In your heart,
In your head,
In your soul.
What a gift you're giving yourself in this moment.
Today's guided meditation is about the difficult times,
The struggles,
The things we have to contend with that we don't really want to contend with.
Money issues,
Things going wrong at work,
Relationship stuff.
Whatever it is,
The struggle is the struggle.
And sometimes it's really hard to sit and be in those moments of profound darkness,
Confusion and pain.
But this is a place to be wherever you are.
Maybe you're feeling calm and life is sweet.
Maybe you're feeling anxious and life is overwhelming.
Wherever you are,
However you're feeling,
I'm just glad you're here being and feeling with me.
I've been feeling the darkness,
The suffering.
It's uncomfortable.
It makes me feel like I want to zip,
Unzip myself out of my body and run away from who I am.
But we can't do that.
Instead,
In those moments of discomfort,
When we're cringing,
Wishing things could be easier or different,
We just need to be with what is.
Just sit there amongst it,
Amongst the chaos,
The uncertainty,
Fear.
Just let it all swirl around you,
Doing what it's supposed to do.
We can't die from the pain.
Yes,
The pain can beat us if we let it,
But the pain is just asking to be felt.
It's asking us to stop ignoring it and pretend that it's not there.
Just doesn't want to be pushed into a corner,
Abandoned and rejected when there's so much important treasure and truth waiting for you in that darkness that you need to go into at some point and take a look around.
I'm in that darkness.
It's thick and it's heavy and it's suffocating.
And sometimes it feels like I could drown,
But I know that I'm here for a reason.
The struggle is not in vain.
The difficult times are important.
They give us a moment to reflect back and see ourselves.
See how we can be kinder people,
How we could be of service more to others,
How we can be more of service to ourselves.
The hard times teaches courage and opportunity to practice resilience,
Survival.
Even if you're barely holding on with one hand,
You're still holding on and this too shall pass.
Whatever the issue in your life,
Whether it's small,
Large or catastrophic,
These things all pass and something else will come and that will pass.
Just like the waves of the ocean.
And instead of thinking we are separate from the ocean,
Fighting the tides,
Trying to keep our heads above water,
Just imagine yourself as a wave,
Part of the ocean.
Sometimes it's calm and so quiet,
Gentle,
Relaxing.
Another times it's turbulent,
It's dark,
Crashes,
It's uncontrollable.
Both there for a reason,
Both necessary.
Wherever you are in your life,
With whatever issues or struggles,
Trust that is where you're supposed to be because it's in that where your next lesson will be discovered.
It's in whatever challenge you're navigating now that you take another step towards an even greater version of yourself.
Struggle is not in vain.
Struggle is never in vain.
So to end this meditation together,
Let us breathe deep sighs of relief for the benefit,
For the blessing of being able to explore all these challenging and crazy emotions because by feeling them,
Even the uncomfortable ones,
We know we are truly alive.
So right now,
Let's breathe in that life force as deep as we can and breathe out all of whatever we're harboring inside us now.
Struggle,
Excitement,
Boredom,
Whatever it is,
Gather it up and sigh it out with relief.
Deep breath in and let it go,
Let it all go.
Let everything out of you.
Deep breath in,
Gathering it all from inside of you.
One more time,
Gather whatever remnants it is that's inside you,
Whatever emotion or feeling that you want to release,
Gather it up and breathe in as deep as you can and pause for a moment.
Tune in to the emptiness.
Feel how much lighter you are.
The struggle is real.
The struggle can be painful,
But we can always come back to this place,
To ourselves,
Being instead of doing,
Breathing,
Grounding,
Gathering everything and breathing it out of us.
And eventually,
The struggles get easier and we have moments of quiet,
The moments of peace,
Moments of joy,
Until again the next wave of stormy seas and struggle hits again.
That is the joy and beauty and adventure of life and we can all get through it together,
Not hiding but communicating,
Trusting each other,
Sharing with each other,
Being authentic with each other.
Slowly now,
Just bring yourself back into the room in your body.
Perhaps give yourself a nice stretch or a big cozy hug and return back to reality with me now.
