This guided recording is to shift heavy emotions using both subtle and direct suggestions. This is an invitation to allow for a pause to respond, rather than react. This recording is useful for anger, pain, anxiety, overwhelm, and urges. This is a helpful technique to practice when relatively calmer, as it will become easier to use when it is most needed. The flute is Key of D and related to the Sacral Chakra- played by Sarah Feiner Falling Rain Soundscapes - Chris Collins

There are little pauses that happen before we react.

This little pause right now gives the choice to react or to respond.

So taking a moment to pause with where you are,

With what you're doing,

And doing the best you can,

Taking in a slow,

Gentle inhale,

And at your own pace,

A long,

Even exhale.

Again,

Just doing your best,

Giving it some time,

A slow,

Gentle inhale,

Followed by a long,

Even exhale.

Allow your shoulders to drop away from your ears,

Letting the muscles around your eyes soften,

Taking in a deep inhale,

And as you exhale,

Feeling your hands and your fingers just spread open a little bit,

Just opening and softening.

And again,

At your own pace,

A deep inhale,

And as you exhale,

Feel the energy,

This energy that you're feeling,

This storm,

This pressure,

Just let it move right down your legs,

Down your legs and out of your feet,

Into the earth,

Taking your time.

Do this two or three more times,

Just doing the best that you can,

Taking in a deep inhale,

And at your own pace,

A long,

Even exhale,

Redirecting the energy down your legs,

Out of your feet and into the earth like rounding rods,

Just really connecting down deep,

Moving it down like a grounding rod.

And as you do this,

You're letting your body respond,

And perhaps even to soften to this gentleness that you are providing,

Moving energy or any sensations that you feel down into your legs with each exhale.

You will find that you are able to do this any time of the day whenever needed.

There are moments of pause.

You take this time to collect yourself so you can respond from a place of stillness and awareness,

Taking in another deep breath,

And at your own pace,

Slowly exhaling.

Emotions have the word emotion in it.

Emotions are to be felt and they are to be moved,

And they move and they pass just like the clouds that float in the sky.

You are redirecting the feeling into something else,

And right now you are taking that pause to do so.

You're inviting yourself to shift and feel and change how it is and where it is in your body,

Moving this down your legs and out of your feet into the earth,

Taking your time.

Good.

There are little pauses that happen before we react,

And this little pause gives us the choice to respond.

There are moments of pause.

You take this moment to collect yourself so you can respond from a place of stillness and awareness.

Good.

Bring your awareness slowly back to the space where you are in.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Bring very small movement into your shoulders,

Bringing with you this peace from this moment.

One final click.

Thank you.
