Taking some time now to get as comfortable as you can with where you are.

Just taking your time however you need to do that.

You can be sitting up or laying down.

Your eyes can be open with a soft focus or gently closing them,

Relaxing the muscles around your eyes and allowing your forehead to become smooth.

You are welcome to go to sleep during the meditation.

There are gentle invitations of imagery throughout.

Remember,

Even while sleeping you are always hearing,

So you will receive the messages that are needed.

This moment is about creating greater comfort in the body,

Greater ease within the mind.

In getting to that place of change,

You are invited to imagine or even to remember an inviting stairway that you are able to comfortably walk or move down.

Perhaps you see soft glowing lights along the stairway as you take steps downward.

Notice the textures along the sides.

You can run your fingers along them if you like.

Feeling more relaxed as you go downwards.

As you are walking down these stairs,

Observe any welcoming photos or images on the walls.

Feeling more relaxed.

Just barely touching each step.

Notice if there is a railing,

If it's made of wood or metal.

Just softly noticing.

Gently focusing with every inhale.

Softening with every exhale.

Feeling your shoulders fall away from your ears.

More settled,

Just barely touching each step as you move downwards.

There is a softness and relaxing in your chest as you gently focus with every inhale and softening with every exhale.

There is a softening and relaxing in your pelvis and hips as you continue to move downward.

Being aware of a beautiful light that invites you at the bottom.

Deeper and deeper with every exhale,

Quiet and relaxed.

Seeing the light and beautiful space that invites you at the bottom.

Feeling quite relaxed as you step down at the bottom of a beautiful place outside.

You may notice that with every out breath,

It takes you deeper,

Becoming more settled and more relaxed.

You are welcome to go to sleep during the meditation.

There are gentle invitations of imagery,

However even while sleeping you are always hearing,

So you will receive the messages that are needed.

Imagine or remember standing before a large body of water.

It could be a large lake or the ocean.

Notice the ground underneath you.

What does it feel like?

Do you hear the water?

Perhaps there are noises of birds.

At your own pace a long,

Slow,

Gentle inhale followed by a longer even exhale.

In creating more comfort in your body and in your mind,

Your brain needs more pictures for the word comfort and comfortable.

The brain mostly thinks in pictures and can do its best work when it has an idea of what something looks like or feels like.

So the next few moments will be used to create pictures for your visual dictionary to assist in greater healing and comfort.

At your own pace take in a slow,

Gentle inhale followed by a long even exhale.

Peaceful,

Calm,

Comfort,

Peaceful,

Forming a picture with a lovely feeling for the word peaceful.

During your time perhaps it's a place or an activity that you see when you hear the word peaceful.

When you find the picture allow yourself to perhaps smile or to soften as you let this lovely picture lovingly wash over you.

Peaceful.

When you are peaceful you are able to experience greater calm.

At your own pace a slow,

Gentle inhale followed by a long even exhale.

Calm.

I invite you to form a picture with a lovely feeling for the word calm.

Perhaps it is the feeling after a rain shower or when the winds have stopped.

Maybe it's how you feel looking at a pet or when you sit outside on a sunny day.

Taking your time.

Perhaps it's a place or an activity that you see clearly in your mind when you hear the word calm.

At your own pace a slow,

Gentle inhale followed by a long even exhale.

Comfort.

Comfort is a very important word for your healing and being more at ease.

I invite you to form a picture with a lovely feeling for the word comfort.

Perhaps this picture is a memory from long ago.

A beautiful memory that brings comfort to your heart.

It reminds you of the comfort that you have experienced in different ways.

I wonder if you'll be curious and noticing how much you use the word comfort in the days and weeks to come.

On some days you'll experience greater comfort and on other days you might experience less comfort.

You are able to have an influence on the comfort that you experience.

Your brain actually prefers the word comfort even though this word will have variance.

Thoughts are very powerful.

For example,

You can think of your favorite place.

Your favorite place and this will begin to actually slow your heart and your breathing just with a thought.

It is also possible to think of something embarrassing and then to have a very physical response like blushing and again all started by just a thought.

In a slow gentle inhale followed by a long even exhale.

You are able to create healthy responses in your body.

You adapt to changes in situation around you with comfort and ease.

It's very reasonable that as you make changes about your comfort these will have an effect on your body.

Noticing as you take in a slow gentle inhale allowing yourself to soften with your long even exhale.

In the sand you notice some words that are drawn.

And as you approach closer you realize that these are some of the not nice words that you have told yourself or that others have told you.

You are able to calmly and comfortably erase these words,

All of them,

Taking your time to do so.

Noticing as they disappear smoothing out the fine sand.

You have whatever you need to create healing in this moment.

Smoothing out the sand,

Creating a blank space and just taking your time.

As the sand becomes smooth and clean please write down three new words to fill this space.

Three words that inspire comfort.

Words that calm your being.

Words that create greater peace in your heart.

Just slowly taking your time.

Good.

At your own pace again taking a slow gentle inhale followed by a long even exhale.

Being more comfortable means feeling good about who you are.

Feeling good also means having cues and motivation to eat more regularly even if you are busy or mentally don't feel like it.

You have recognized that eating small amounts more regularly is a fairly easy way to manage how your stomach feels.

You may or may not be experiencing hunger and you realize that perhaps it might be better to actually start eating a little before you feel hungry to manage how your stomach and insides feel.

Take a moment now to allow yourself to be creative and open.

To come up with a cue for your brain that will be a signal to shift or stop what you are doing so that you can nourish yourself.

Maybe it will be a feeling or a nudge or just a knowing.

All you need to do right now is flip a switch or press a button and this shift can begin.

This change will be the ability to prompt your brain to change what it's doing and to go and eat.

This will always be running in the background until you decide to change it.

But for now this will be working subconsciously just as your heart knows how to beat and your chest keeps expanding and relaxing.

And observe that some part of you has created this,

A particular feeling or a knowing or a nudge.

You might notice the difference right away however because it's subconscious.

You might be very curious when you do notice that over the next week you will sometimes just find yourself moving in some way to prepare yourself small frequent nourishing meals so you can enjoy greater comfort.

At your own pace take in a slow gentle inhale followed by a long even exhale.

Noticing the next rise of your inhale and softening as you exhale.

The rising of your inhale and the softening as you exhale.

These slow almost oceanic breaths creating even greater peace,

Calm and comfort.

All of these improve sleep and improve sleep supports greater comfort,

Peace and calm.

Each evening when you get ready for bed your mind prepares for sleep.

All daytime things and daytime thoughts are set aside.

Be on the chair or a table or even on the floor.

As you prepare for nighttime sleep your mind gently and automatically switches to nighttime mode.

It's very automatic,

It slows down and quiets ready for rest and rejuvenation.

And this nighttime mode lasts all night long as you sleep comfortably and peacefully.

And this nighttime mode finishes when you are ready to get up and prepare for a new day.

You wake up with greater comfort and ease.

At your own pace take in a slow gentle inhale followed by a long even exhale.

In your body there is one or several areas that have not been feeling comfortable.

The messages that the brain has been receiving from these areas might be exaggerated or no longer helpful.

The message that was initially there has been received and you have taken care to lovingly respond and create as much wellness as possible and greater comfort in those areas.

Thoughts are very powerful.

Again for example you can think of your very favorite place and this actually slows your heart and your breathing just with a thought.

You can create healthy responses in your body and you can adapt to changes in situations creating even greater peace,

Calm and comfort.

Taking a moment to find an area of your body that feels very neutral right now and usually feels very neutral all of the time.

Such as the outside edge of your little toe or perhaps one of your earlobes.

Notice this neutral area of your body.

Maybe give it a different word this feeling of neutral or a color.

Just really take your time bringing your awareness to this neutral area.

Notice what neutral feels like.

What you notice with this observation about this neutral area is that there is so much neutral feeling in that area that you are actually able to take some of that excess and bring it to another area of the body.

You have all the skills or tools that you need to gently gather up that excess neutral and bring it to another area in your body.

Perhaps you use a little vacuum.

Maybe you can gather it up with your hands or another sort of way.

Just taking your time to gather up this neutral and bring it to an area that is not feeling as comfortable or as neutral as it could.

When you have it gathered up you can start applying this neutral feeling however you need to do that.

Knowing that you have all the resources you need to bring healing to this moment.

Spending your time noticing how the discomfort that was there is changing now.

Perhaps becoming blurred or softened.

Maybe it's becoming quieter.

If you need to add more neutral you can go back to the area of the body that usually feels neutral and collect some more.

Just taking your time.

As you are adding this neutral to the area that you were concerned about you know to add enough so that you will be more comfortable and you know it will be more manageable to do the things you enjoy.

Taking your time to lovingly and gently create more neutral and comfort in your body.

If you have several areas where you would like to lovingly and gently do this there is time to do so now.

You are able to enjoy a few moments of self care here with the ocean before continuing.

At your own pace take in a slow gentle inhale followed by a long even exhale.

Noticing the next rise of your inhale.

Softening as you exhale allowing these changes to settle within your body.

The rising of your inhale.

The softening as you exhale.

These slow almost oceanic breaths creating even greater peace,

Calm and comfort.

These breaths wash over your whole being with healing.

With every inhale the comfortable cells in your body are able to communicate with any cells that might be uncomfortable.

This brings greater clarity and healthier function within your body.

As you exhale your body is aligning itself.

With your next inhale bring some gentle awareness to where you are laying or sitting down.

As you exhale bring gentle movement to your fingers and your toes.

On your next inhale bring more awareness to the place where you have been supported and resting.

When you are ready gently open your eyes bringing with you the peace,

Calm and comfort from this moment.
