Hello and welcome.
My name is Sarah and this is a meditation designed to guide you to connect with your body,
To restore and ease chronic pain,
Tension,
Anxiety and fear.
To begin with,
I'd like you to sit or lie down leaning against wherever you are,
Giving yourself permission to relax into the here and now.
Let us begin.
Close your eyes.
See if you can tune in to the sound of my voice.
Let go of all other noise or distraction around you.
Gift yourself this time to tune inwards.
Start paying attention to what is currently taking place within your body.
Notice if there is any tightness,
Tension,
Tingling,
Pain or discomfort anywhere.
Whatever the case may be,
Tell yourself,
I allow this uneasiness to be here right now.
I allow myself to relax.
Notice what happens when you slowly ease into what is.
Use your breath.
Breathing into all discomfort.
You're curious.
What does it feel like to breathe?
Notice the gentle cool air coming in through your nostrils and the gentle warm air coming out of your nostrils.
See how your body knows exactly what to do.
It knows exactly how to breathe.
The only thing your body requires from you is your presence,
Your awareness and your willingness to notice and to pay attention.
Your body is like a beautiful,
Wondrous child,
Flourishing with every moment of attention and presence that you give it.
Start scanning your body from top to toe,
Beginning with your neck muscles,
Upper back muscles,
Shoulders,
Back muscles,
Your legs and your feet.
Relax.
Allow yourself to relax.
You are safe.
Breathe into the discomfort.
Know that you can sit with this discomfort.
Know that you can do hard things.
Trust yourself.
Relax your frontal body now.
Walk your way up to your stomach and heart space.
Pause.
Keep your heart beating for you every second of every minute of every day.
Imagine the power of that love,
That incredible,
Unconditional love.
You are this love.
You are this power.
Continue to breathe as you move up to your jaw and facial muscles.
See if you can let go and relax these parts of your body.
Tell your mind,
I allow myself to relax.
I am willing to relax.
Notice the heaviness gently lifting from your body.
See yourself as pure light.
You are pure awareness.
That is your main purpose in this life.
Notice relaxing into that knowing.
Breathe.
Just breathe.
Notice how good it feels to breathe.
