Hello,
Insight Timer.
I'm Sarah Blondin and I'm a teacher here on this wonderful app.
And I felt called to send out my version of a heart flare.
I think it's imperative in times like these while we're going through transition and change and discomfort and growth ultimately that we bond together as the healthiest organism that we can.
And we do that by joining together to speak to one another and in loving ways,
Learning to see the goodness that is growing from this place and to really show up for one another in a place that says,
I see you,
I feel you,
I love you,
And I'm here for you.
And if we can each do that in our own individual world,
We will start to create a little bit of heart coherence in this difficult and challenging time.
I was holding my three-year-old son's face the other day.
I had both his cheeks in my hand and he was crying and he was lost in a bunch of shame and judgment and fear around what had just happened to him.
And I made him open his eyes and I said,
Look into my doorway,
Look into my doorway as he was wailing.
And he looked through his eyes,
Opened his eyes and there was tears all through his eyes,
But I just kept saying,
You're okay,
You're okay,
You're okay,
You're okay,
You're okay.
And slowly but surely his body started to calm down,
Wellbeing started to fill his being again.
And I realized in that moment how imperative it is to hold one another and ourselves in that way.
And I realized how much I needed someone to also hold my face and repeat,
You are okay,
You are okay,
You are okay.
I also noticed that within himself,
He realized he was okay.
So in me mirroring that he was okay,
He was able to wake up to his own okayness.
I didn't make him okay.
He found within himself that truth within.
So I would like to do a little blessing and guided meditation for all of us now so that we can show up for one another,
Holding each other's faces,
Looking into each other's eyes and just reminding each other that we are okay,
That we are okay.
We have already gone through the hardest,
Most challenging thing to date,
Which was being pushed from the comforting waters of our mother's womb into the light of day,
Where we had to learn to see,
To feel,
To speak,
To walk,
To breathe,
To love in a very unfamiliar and unknown place.
So a part of us is okay with this and is able to move through this with grace if we are willing to just slow down a little bit in order to find for ourselves our own okayness.
So let's just get comfortable and close our eyes and just settle into ourselves.
Imagine a stone being dropped in from the top of your head,
Traveling down your spine through your chest and let that stone settle at the bottom of you.
And imagine the water of your body getting calm.
And as your water gets calmer and calmer,
Bring your attention now to your heartbeat and your heart center.
You can even put your hand on your heart if you'd like,
If that helps.
And I want you to imagine that your heart is actually breathing.
Imagine stretching your breaths out to long sort of wave-like breaths.
I know the mind is going to create and continue to create the cocktail of fear and panic and anxiety.
But I really want you to try just to focus on the heart right now so that we can begin to open the heart's pharmacy.
Going within to cultivate the qualities that we actually want to feel.
Kindness,
Love,
Acceptance,
Safety.
I want you to begin rocking slightly from side to side as if you would a newborn bee,
As if you would a life new to this earth.
Becoming the mother we most need.
Embracing ourselves and wrapping our beings in the frequency of our own heart.
May you find comfort in this moment,
In the arms of your own self.
May you accept the challenges of growth that are at our doorstep.
May you accept.
May you find within yourself your willingness to stand as love in this moment.
To move as love in this moment.
To speak and to see as love in this moment.
May you remember that you've never truly been alone.
That your heart is beating for you.
That your breath is breathing for you.
You have never truly been alone.
May you learn to look for the grace wrapped around this moment.
May you learn to see the grace hidden in the cracks.
May you feel the grace rising from this moment that has ultimately brought you home to yourself.
May you learn to unlock the medicine within your own body.
May you learn to share this medicine with the world in the way you speak and in the way you stand.
You are alright,
You are ok.
I am alright,
I am ok.
I am alright,
I am ok.
We are often pushed to our borders in order to grow into something more beautiful and more true.
We are often pushed from our comfort in order to develop into something greater,
Something more wise,
Something more awake.
Accept this challenge dear one.
Drop your arms of resistance.
Surrender your defenses and lift your head to face the sky.
Remembering the power you hold.
Feeling the light within you.
The embers warm at your core.
Now is the time to rise dear one.
Now is the time to rise.
Finding stillness now in your being.
As if a calm lake.
As if a calm lake.
Let us move from frightened to fortified.
Let our hearts be the amplifying voice.
Let the world change because of our loving awareness.
I am thanking the heart now.
I thank you heart.
I thank you heart.
I am just checking in to see how much space or calmness you woke up within yourself.
I know I feel a lot more stable,
A lot more grounded,
A lot more at peace.
I know my body feels softer and less resistant.
This has been my practice these last few weeks is to find ways to stay in a state of heart coherence and for me that's practicing morning,
Afternoon and evening.
Practice of gratitude,
A practice of disarming and a practice of calming the nervous system down.
This is our work now.
I'm here doing it with you and I am honored that you joined me to share in this sacred moment of healing,
Of remembering.
So I am sending so many blessings to all of us holding everyone's face.
You are alright,
You are okay,
You are alright,
You are okay.
That's my heart flare for the day and everyone be well.
