Hello and welcome.

My name is Nathania and I am very excited to be here with you today to share this mindful moment together.

I don't know about you,

But I often catch myself rushing from one thing to the next.

And in that rushing,

I get caught up in autopilot,

A way of being that generally doesn't serve me.

It is in these moments of noticing that I am rushing that I choose to pause.

I must pause.

And then it's in that pause that I regain my ability to choose.

Choose the energy that serves me.

Choose a path forward that feels good in my body.

Choose a thought that takes me to where I know I'm capable of going.

None of this is possible if I am caught in autopilot mode.

So I wonder if that's what you need today.

A moment to pause together.

A moment to catch our breath.

A moment to choose the energy that best serves us today.

Find yourself in a comfortable position,

One that allows you to feel grounded.

And wherever your body meets the earth,

Will you allow it to land,

To root in place?

A heaviness takes over.

And in that heaviness,

You find a sense of safety.

You find a sense of awareness.

And if it feels comfortable to do so,

I invite you to close your eyes and create a little bit more space for your breath to move in.

Slowly you breathe in.

And even slower you breathe out.

Breathe in.

Slow we breathe in.

And slower we breathe out.

Breathe in.

And breathe out.

Notice the tension in your body as you breathe in.

Does it exist in the belly?

As you exhale,

Could you unbuckle the belly?

Could you soften and let go?

Breathe in.

Notice where else is there tension?

Where are you still holding on?

And then as you exhale,

Permission to let go there too.

Breathe in to notice.

And exhale to soften,

Arriving a little bit more deeply,

A little more gently into this moment.

And then drawing your awareness to the space around you,

The space just beyond your skin,

Your clothes,

The space that just hovers on the exterior ends of you,

At the tips of the toes,

In between the toes.

Starting to notice the space around you.

And as you exhale,

Softening into that space,

Allowing it to hold you,

Allowing it to support you as you rest here for a moment.

And as you begin to notice what you need,

Letting yourself arrive bit by bit,

Breath by breath,

You settle.

And you take all the time you need.

Your breath settles.

The energy in your body settles.

The autopilot,

The go,

Go,

Go,

The do,

Do,

Do,

It settles.

We begin the process of catching our breath,

Of landing where our feet,

Our body hits the earth.

Notice what still needs you.

Hold it,

Have compassion for it,

The lingering tension,

The frenetic thoughts,

The relentless need to go,

And do,

And be,

It's okay.

And you can put it down,

You can let go,

And you can just be here now.

How could that feel in your body?

A sense of arriving,

A pausing,

An ease settling over your whole being.

If you're anything like me,

That desire to do more,

To be more,

To get more,

It's not bad.

But we can only achieve what's possible for us if we first pause and take care of ourselves.

If we move through life disconnected on autopilot,

We simply run circles around our goals,

Our hopes,

Our dreams,

Stuck in what we've already done before.

And if we can choose to trust ourselves,

To pause,

To relax,

To rest a moment,

To drop back in,

To conscious awareness,

To take what we need,

Then there's no doubt in my mind we can get after everything we know possible for ourselves.

This,

This pause,

This breath,

It's necessary,

It'll take you to where you know possible.

So in our final moment together,

I wonder if you could answer this question.

What do you need today?

What do you need today?

It takes courage to honor your needs.

It takes courage to put yourself first.

What do you need today?

Draw your awareness to your breath.

Draw your awareness to the space just outside your clothing,

Your skin,

Your whole body.

Start to invite some awareness of that space in.

Start to move and stretch and yawn and sigh.

And only when you feel ready to do so,

Slowly open your eyes and in the awareness of what you need and what's possible for you,

I wish you the most incredible day yet.

Thank you for practicing with me today.
