Hello and welcome.
Today I'm going to guide you through an alternate nostril breathing exercise that helps restore balance and clarity.
This practice involves alternating the breath between the left and right nostrils,
Which is believed to have numerous benefits for physical and mental well-being.
This practice helps balance the nervous system,
Reduce stress and anxiety by promoting a state of calm and relaxation.
It also improves focus and concentration by enhancing mental clarity and balancing the brain's energy flow.
Together let's create deeper clarity with this focused breath work exercise.
Find a comfortable seated position with your spine straight and your shoulders relaxed.
Rest your left hand on your knee,
Palm facing upwards or downwards,
Whatever feels comfortable for you.
Bring your right hand up towards your face and lightly place the tips of your index finger and middle finger between your eyebrows.
Your ring finger can rest on your left nostril and your thumb on your right nostril.
Your pinky is not needed right now.
Close your right nostril with your thumb and inhale slowly and deeply through your left nostril.
Fill your lungs completely.
At the top of the inhale,
Release the right nostril and close your left nostril.
Exhale fully and slowly through your right nostril.
Inhale deeply through your right nostril and then close it with your thumb.
Release your left nostril and exhale through it.
Continue this alternate nostril breathing pattern,
Exhaling and inhaling through one nostril,
Switching and exhaling and inhaling through the opposite nostril.
Each breath should be slow,
Deep and controlled.
Aim to practice it for three to five minutes,
Gradually increasing the duration as you become more comfortable with the technique.
Remember to breathe naturally and without force.
Focus on the sensation of the breath as it enters and leaves your nostrils.
This practice is a practice and the more you practice it,
The more you strengthen it and it becomes a valuable tool for relaxation,
Mental clarity and overall well-being.
Wherever you are in your practice,
You can join me for these last few cycles or you can continue at your pace.
Catch your next exhale and breathe it out your right nostril.
In through the right nostril,
Close that out through the left.
In through the left,
Close that nostril out through the right.
In through the right,
Close that nostril out through the left.
In through the left,
Close that nostril out through the right.
In through the right,
Close that nostril out through the left.
In through the left,
Close that nostril out through the right.
In through the right,
Close that nostril out through the left.
In through the left,
Close and out through the right.
In through the right,
Close that nostril out through the left.
In through the left and then release both nostrils and just breathe your rhythm.
In through the nose or the mouth,
Out through the nose or the mouth.
Just breathe naturally and without force.
It's important to notice if this breath work serves you as it might not be suitable for everyone.
If you feel lightheaded or uncomfortable during any breath work,
Please discontinue the practice.
You can linger here feeling the new openness,
The new space,
The new clarity that you've just created in your body.
Linger a little longer than you intentionally set out and have an incredible,
Restful,
Relaxed day ahead.
