For Being Full Of Hope. We begin this meditation by getting in the right state with balanced breathing and gratitude, and then continue by occasionally thinking a mantra - ‘Asha’ - which is the Sanskrit word for ‘optimism’ and ‘hope’. I hope you enjoy this hopefulness meditation!

Start by sitting or laying comfortably,

Before closing the eyes and being gently aware.

Place a hand on your heart and begin breathing in a balanced way.

In for a count of 5 seconds,

Out for 5.

Continuing this breathing rhythm,

Bring to mind someone or something for which you are grateful.

Let feelings of appreciation arise and let them linger.

As you continue to breathe in for 5.

For this meditation we will occasionally think one of the 11 soul calm mantras,

Each consisting of 3 words from the Sanskrit language,

Which has been described as the sound of the soul.

The soul calm mantras include Om,

The mother of all mantras,

The root vibration of creation,

And Nama,

Meaning to let in and let be.

Each soul calm mantra is completed by a healing aspect of consciousness that can reveal within you wholeness.

Continuing to rest and remain gently aware,

Now bring your hands together into prayer position,

Before engaging the Hakini Mudra,

By separating the palms of the hands and having only the fingertips touching.

Maintain this hand posture for the duration of our meditation,

Either keeping your hands in front of your chest and heart,

Or resting your hands in the Hakini Mudra upon your lap.

Now with your focus far and wide,

Think Om Nama Asha.

Having thought Om Nama Asha,

Which means hope and optimism,

Let go of the words and focus point,

Continue to be gently aware,

While letting in and letting be.

Gently aware,

Wide and open.

As we bring this meditation sitting to a close,

Bring the palms of your hands together,

Returning to prayer position,

Before slowly opening the eyes.

Bye for now.
