A blessing meditation,

Loving without losing yourself.

Before we begin,

Let's start by taking one deep intentional breath in and letting it go long and slow.

This is a blessing meditation to love our family,

Friends and loved ones without losing ourselves.

Before we begin,

Let's start by taking one deep intentional breath in and letting it go long and slow.

Again,

This time hold your inhale for a moment longer and gently notice your exhale as your body settles as your mind softens.

Allow your body and mind to arrive here exactly as you are.

Hello beloved soul,

Today we gather not to question,

Dissect,

Fix and not to change the people in our lives,

But to tend to you,

Your energy,

Your heart and your inner landscape.

There are people we love deeply,

There are people who have walked beside us with kindness and care,

And there are also people whose presence feels heavy,

Whose words linger too long in our thoughts,

Whose emotions spill into our own inner landscape.

This meditation is a blessing for all of them,

And a devotion to yourself.

Begin by bringing to mind someone who feels safe and loving to you,

Someone whose presence feels nourishing.

Notice how your body responds,

Perhaps a softening,

A warmth,

A gentle ease or a sigh.

Silently offer them these words,

May you be well,

May you be supported,

May you feel at peace,

And may you know that you are loved.

Notice your giving does not drain you here.

Love flows naturally when it is rooted in safety.

Now gently bring to mind someone neutral,

A passing face,

A familiar name.

Offer a similar wish,

May you be well,

May you feel at ease.

And now with care and steadiness bring to mind someone who challenges you,

Someone whose energy feels draining,

Someone whose energy feels demanding,

Whose presence leaves you feeling scattered,

Tense or even drained at times.

There is no need to relive a story,

No need to analyze or justify,

Simply notice the sensations in your body,

Perhaps a density,

A pressure,

A pulling of attention.

Stay here as the observer,

Not the character.

Remind yourself that empathy does not require absorption.

From this grounded place silently offer,

May you be held in the care that I do not need to provide,

May you find the support you need beyond me,

May I be free to protect my own well-being in your presence.

Now imagine a gentle boundary forming around you,

Not a wall,

But a flourishing garden,

A permeable field of light.

Love may pass through,

Kindness may pass through,

But heaviness,

Blame,

Guilt,

Anger and neediness are filtered before they reach your core.

Notice how your breath deepens here.

Notice how your inner space widens.

Bring one hand to your heart,

One hand to your belly.

Whisper inward,

I am allowed to care without depletion.

I am allowed to love without losing myself.

I am responsible for my physical,

Mental and emotional well-being,

And that is enough.

Again,

Remind yourself that true compassion arises from wholeness,

Not self-sacrifice.

When you tend to your inner harmony,

You become a clearer presence for yourself and your loved ones.

Take a moment now to return fully to yourself.

Feel your feet,

Your breath,

Feel the quiet delight of choosing yourself with kindness.

Let us take three slow intentional breaths together.

Breathing in self-respect,

Breathing out emotional weight.

Breathing in peace,

Breathing out self-judgment.

Last breath here.

Breathing in love,

Breathing out love.

When you're ready,

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

And if your eyes are closed,

Slowly open your eyes.

Carry this knowing with you.

You can be loving and have healthy boundaries.

Let these words softly land on your heart space,

And as you move through your day,

Return to this gentle practice whenever you need.

Sending you love from my heart to yours.
