Welcome to this meditation practice.

During this practice I'm going to guide you down into the peace,

Tranquility and stillness that lies within you,

Using the breath as a guide for doing so.

Make sure your phone is on silent or do not disturb.

Then sit in a comfortable position,

Making sure you maintain an upright and alert posture.

Place your hands in your lap or on your knees with your palms facing upwards.

And then take your attention inwards into the breath,

Noticing the inhale,

Witnessing the exhale and observing that space between exhale and inhale,

Allowing each out breath to take you deeper into that gap.

Allowing my voice to go with you as you drift deeper and deeper into that wonderful state of meditation and relaxation.

Noticing everything else around you to just dissipate as you just follow your breath.

Seeing the inhale,

Witnessing the exhale and observing that gap between exhale and inhale,

Allowing yourself to drift deeper into that gap with each out breath.

And the deeper you drift into that gap,

The more relaxed your body becomes.

The more still your mind becomes.

And the deeper you drift into that gap,

The more profound your experience will be.

So you can allow yourself to drift deeper and deeper into that gap of infinity.

Infinite relaxation,

Infinite stillness,

Infinite depth.

And take your attention to your hands now.

Notice the difference in temperature between your palms and the backs of your hands.

And as you notice that difference in temperature,

You notice yourself drifting deeper into that wonderful state of meditation.

Each out breath to take you deeper and deeper into that infinite gap of relaxation and stillness.

And now moving your attention to your eyes,

Noticing how relaxed the muscles around the eyes are right now.

Noticing how relaxed and comfortable your eyelids are right now.

And just pretend for a moment that you cannot open your eyes.

The muscles around the eyes so relaxed,

Eyelids so relaxed and comfortable,

That you cannot open your eyes.

And the harder you try,

The deeper you drift into relaxation,

Stillness and tranquility.

Deeper and deeper you go.

And the deeper you go,

The more profound your experience will be.

And as we near the end of this practice,

Notice how you feel.

And you can take any positive feelings with you into the rest of your day.

As we finish off with some positive affirmations to enhance your day.

So repeat after me silently to yourself.

May I have a day filled with joy,

Laughter and love.

May I maintain good health and a sound mind.

May I stay safe from harm.

And may I experience a deep sense of inner peace and contentment,

No matter what is going on in my external world.

May I be compassionate towards myself and towards others.

May I be non-judgmental towards myself and towards others.

May I be grateful for life itself and everything in that life.

Just bring to mind right now something that you're grateful for over the past 24 hours.

Whatever comes to mind first.

And take a few deep in-breaths through the nose right now.

Allow each breath to re-energise you,

Reinvigorate you,

Rejuvenate you and fill you with positive energy.

As you come back to the room,

Become aware of your surroundings and the sounds around you.

Fully awake.

Thank you for joining me today.

Have a present and productive day.
