Hi,

Welcome to this five senses meditation.

So taking time to ground in our five senses helps us to be more present and it helps us to integrate our surroundings.

So let's take a moment and just get comfortable and we're just going to start with noticing what's around us.

So we're going to take a look around the room we're in.

And as you slowly look around,

Just see if you can notice aspects of the room that you've never noticed before.

Maybe there are shapes,

Colors,

Details that you've just never quite noticed.

So just take a look around,

Take your time.

And then when you're done,

You can go ahead and close your eyes if that's comfortable.

And we're just going to take a few deep breaths,

Noticing any sense in the air.

So take a deep breath in through your nose,

Noticing anything you can smell.

Maybe you didn't notice much,

That's okay,

But maybe you noticed something that you didn't notice before.

And now we're going to go to our sense of taste.

So you might not have eaten anything lately,

But maybe there are sensations in the mouth that you can notice.

Do you feel thirsty or hydrated?

And is there any taste in your mouth?

Any sensations there?

And then we'll move on to our sense of touch.

So starting with our feet,

If your feet are in shoes,

You might notice the sensation of warmth or just the contact between your feet and the shoes or socks.

Maybe you're barefoot and you can feel the texture of the surface that your feet are resting on.

Just see what you notice in your feet.

And then notice your clothes,

Making contact with your skin.

Does it feel warm?

Maybe you can feel the air on your skin and it's cool.

Just noticing what you feel there.

And then lastly,

We'll move on to our sense of hearing.

So just taking a moment to listen to the sounds in your environment,

Being open and curious,

And just seeing how many different sounds you can notice.

And then we'll take a slow,

Deep breath in through the nose.

And if your eyes are closed,

You can open them now,

Coming back to the space that you're in.

Thank you for practicing with me today.

Loved this because our senses we sometimes take for granted and they allow us to truly enjoy life. Thanks 🙏
