Hello there and welcome to your audio practice for pause breath work.
My name is Samantha and I will be guiding you on this journey to use your breath,
The power of your breath to allow yourself to release all that does not serve you.
So often when we are feeling states of anxiety or sadness or depression or overwhelm,
We tend to really think about how to get rid of it.
And what we're doing when we overthink this is we are just obsessing over the sensation more and more and more,
Which simply activates it more and more and more.
Using our breath in a very intentional and continuous way allows the breath to do the work for us.
The breath goes into the body and releases all the emotionality that simply does not belong.
We all have access to this deep,
Deep truth that resides in us all.
The answers truly are within.
We just need to clear the channels so that we can gain access.
Throughout my life,
Really diving into various healing modalities that I've done all over the globe,
Nothing has been as powerful as breath work.
So often meditation is so challenging for people because they just can't shut off their brains,
Whereas when we use the breath,
It gets us out of our mind so quickly and into our bodies.
And that is the power of what this work can really do for us.
So I want you to find yourself on the floor somewhere comfortable,
Whether that's on a yoga mat or on your carpet or lying down on your bed,
Somewhere where you will be undisturbed for the next 20 minutes.
And I just want you to feel the support of the ground underneath you.
Start by just taking a few deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
In through the nose and out through the mouth.
And again,
In through the nose and out through the mouth.
I want you to take a moment and just honor the part of you that has come here today,
The part of you that decided to be here with me,
Working on yourself,
Learning about yourself and your body,
The part of you that is looking for deeper intimacy,
Deeper connection,
Deeper truth.
Our bodies truly have all the answers.
And when we simply surrender and feel,
We are guided to places that are so in alignment with who we are.
So just take a moment and just have a high,
High level of gratitude for the part of you that brought you here.
And I want you to take one hand and put it on your heart and take one hand and place it on your belly and just continue with the deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And just be right here.
It's just you and your body.
It's safe to be here.
It's safe to feel.
Just observe the gentle rising of your chest.
In through the nose and out through the mouth.
And just see if you can relax a little bit deeper.
Just focus on the energy of your heart,
The power,
How vibrant and clear,
Loving.
And just find that place of safety in your heart.
During this practice,
We are going to be feeling sensations that maybe we've tried to push down or ignore for so long and we've built up protection and defense mechanisms to stop ourselves from feeling.
But feeling is truly our superpower.
We have to feel in order to heal.
And you are so safe to feel.
It's safe to feel.
Just repeat that silently to yourself a few times.
It is safe to feel.
It's safe to be in your body.
It's safe to feel.
It's safe to just be.
The beautiful thing about breath work is you are in control the whole time.
You are creating your experience with your breath.
At any point if you feel like you want to slow down,
That is totally okay.
Just don't stop breathing.
Just stay with the continual breath,
Which I will teach you in a moment.
And as you breathe,
Just realize the whole time that you are so safe.
Safe to be in your body and it's safe to feel.
We are going to be breathing only through our mouth.
You will be taking two breaths in and one breath out.
The exhale breath is strong and powerful.
The first two breaths are breathing in through the belly,
In through the chest,
And then out through the mouth.
So it sounds like this.
So go ahead now and just feel your belly,
Feel your chest.
And the first breath in is you bringing it up through the belly,
Up into the chest,
And out through the mouth.
Beautiful.
Just notice how you feel just from a few breaths right now.
Any sensation that comes up during this practice is completely normal.
You may feel tingling in your toes and your fingers and your mouth.
You may get a headache right away.
Just breathe through it all.
Just breathe through it all.
You are creating your experience and you are in complete control.
Your body will release whatever it needs to release.
The most important thing is you just let it.
If you begin to get sad,
Just let yourself be sad.
Let the tears fall.
If you feel angry,
Just let yourself be in that expression.
It is just a motion that needs to flow.
It's just a motion that needs to flow.
Let's go ahead and place our hands by our sides,
Palms facing up.
And let's start the breath pattern together.
Going economy Just keep breathing exactly like that.
Allow yourself to be fully in your body,
Fully in your experience.
You are so safe.
I've got you.
I'm here with you.
Notice the resistance that may come up and just keep breathing.
It's safe to feel.
It's safe to feel.
Allow yourself just breathe.
It's safe to feel.
It's safe to feel.
It's safe to feel.
Whatever's happening in your body is exactly what is supposed to happen.
Know that you are safe.
Know that you are loved.
And just let yourself breathe.
It's safe to feel.

Notice how free and open,
Loving,
Connected you feel.
Right here with you.
Just let yourself bask in this energy of just openness,
Clarity.
Now just rolling over to one side.
Bringing your knees up and just relaxing.
And coming up to a cross-legged position where your legs stretched out in front of you.
Bringing both hands up to your heart.
Thanking yourself for coming to this practice.

Transforming so you can be in your fullest expression and your fullest essence and your fullest truth.
