This everyday mindfulness technique is called the rhythmic movement of mind and you will need an object for this one but it doesn't need to be anything too obvious.

I'm just going to use a crystal but you can use a mouse,

An airpod case,

Anything that's around,

A salt shaker,

Anything that you've got to hand and you just want to pass it between your two hands right and you want to create a little bit of a rhythm.

The key with this one is you need to pass it through your center line.

It needs to move from one eye,

One hemisphere of the brain to the other hemisphere of the brain which is doing naturally with your hands but it helps along with your eyes as well so you want to pass it across that center line because what that does is create bilateral stimulation in the brain which helps to bring you back to the present moment which is why I'm finding it hard to do this and keep talking at the same time.

It brings you back to the present moment and helps you feel calmer which is after all the point of all of these everyday mindfulness techniques.

So grab something off your desk,

Give it a try and see how you feel and if you have any questions I'm always around.

Thank you.
