Some days our nervous system has fallen into a space where the world feels really heavy and even the basic things that are meant to make us feel good feel too much.

This is a technique that can support in those moments,

But please go gently with yourself.

So I want you just to simply start to sway your body from side to side or front to back.

We're all different,

So some of us like to move from side to side,

Some prefer to sway front to back.

Find your rhythm,

See which feels supportive for your body and your nervous system in this moment.

What makes you feel safe,

Held?

And just keep that rhythm going,

It doesn't have to be fast or big.

Go as much or as little as you can handle and want in this moment.

This is you taking care of you in a lovely and small way,

So don't push it,

Just go with what feels nourishing,

What feels manageable in this moment.

With that gentle back and forth,

Noticing where you can feel it in the body,

In the hips,

The shoulders,

The neck,

The abdomen,

The spine,

Just noticing where this rhythm can be found as you rock from side to side or front to back.

Beautiful.

You don't have to do it for very long,

But listen to your body,

Listen to what it needs in this moment.

So when you feel it's time to stop,

Stop.

And if you want to keep going a little longer,

Then I encourage you to do so.

Thinking of you,

Wishing you well,

And thank you for joining me for this small and simple technique today.

Take care of yourself.

Thank you. I do this often. Good to hear this session so I can fine tune my rocking. Sure does reduce my anxiety.
