As-salamu alaykum.

May peace and blessings be upon you all.

My name is Sarita and I'm so grateful to share this space with you today.

There may be times throughout our lives when we feel powerless in our environment.

Maybe we have relinquished too much or all of our power to another out of an inherent sense of responsibility or duty.

When this happens,

We lose ourselves and often become disillusioned.

This meditation uses affirmations to bring you back into your power and strengthen your self-esteem.

Practicing these affirmations by reciting them in your mind or aloud on a daily basis will rewire negative thought patterns and increase your self-esteem.

Before we begin,

Let's ground ourselves where we are.

Gently close your eyes and bring a hand to your heart.

Connect with your heart.

Feel its energy beating into the palm of your hand.

Is it beating fast or slow?

Or perhaps you can only feel its warmth emanating into your palm and fingers.

Notice the rise and the fall of your chest.

Now bring your awareness to your breath.

We will practice three cycles of mindful breathing through the nose.

Breathe in.

Slowly release.

Again,

Breathe in.

Slowly release.

Last one.

Breathe in.

Slowly release.

Try to maintain this mindful breath throughout the meditation.

You may keep your hand on your heart or move it to rest in a more comfortable position.

Now let's begin the affirmations.

I am enough.

I am enough.

I am enough when life is going well.

To end our session today,

Let's once again bring a hand to our hearts to connect with our life energies,

Our heartbeats,

And our breath.

Breathe in through the nose.

Slowly release.

Once more,

Breathe in.

Slowly release.

If there was one or two affirmations that resonated with you during your practice today,

Please hold on to them,

Write them down on a sticky note and post it at your workspace,

Or recite them throughout the day.

I hope you enjoyed this meditation.

May peace and blessings be upon you.
