This mantra meditation helps to cleanse and purify the body, speech, and mind. Mantras are a powerful way to focus our intention and attention, creating resonant energy that flows through us as we practice. The repetition of “Om, Ah, Hum” invites transformative blessings to be bestowed upon our body, speech, and mind. In doing so, you’ll release guilt and shame associated with unwholesome habits and actions you’ve engaged in; and welcome acceptance, forgiveness, and new possibility. This practice will help you flush out negativity from within. Then you can move forward to fulfill your potential - bringing your body, speech, and mind more wholly and authentically to every action and interaction.

Hello,

Love.

My name is Sadi Simone,

And it's such an honor and a joy to be your guide.

This meditation is called OM AH HUM.

Purify your body,

Speech,

And mind.

This is a traditional Tibetan Buddhist practice,

And it's one that,

When done with all of your attention and all of your intention,

Has very fast-acting benefits,

At least in my case has been that way.

So the mantra is going to be helping us to purify our body,

Speech,

And mind,

Okay?

And while we're chanting the mantra OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM,

We are going to be asking nothing outside of us to help us purify,

But we're asking the part of us that is already completely awakened,

That is already completely free.

I call the heart,

I call the spiritual heart,

I call it the awakened heart.

In the traditional Buddhist literature,

It's called your Buddha nature or your awakened mind,

You know,

A variety of different words.

You might have your own language for that.

So the part of you that's already completely free.

So as we're chanting OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM,

We're asking that part of us to completely liberate the blockages that we have placed on ourselves by the ways that we have acted with our mind,

The ways we have acted with our speech,

The ways we have acted with our behavior,

Okay?

So the word OM in this context stands for body.

The word AH in this context stands for speech,

And HUM or sometimes said as HUNG stands for mind,

Okay?

And as we're saying these words,

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM,

We are like any other meditation practice,

We are gathering all the energy of the mind into the single point,

The silent repetition of the mantra OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM.

And if at any moment your attention gets pulled away far,

Far into the future or far,

Far into the past or any additional stories or resistance,

Whatever shape or form may be,

We are then invited to come back,

Okay?

Invited to come back into the practice.

And as we are chanting OM AH HUM,

The intention behind these three syllables combined together is we're asking to purify and release guilt and shame from the actions committed with our body.

So OM when we say OM,

We're releasing guilt and shame from our actions that were committed through our body.

We're asking for purification and we're making a commitment to better ourselves in the future,

Okay?

When we're chanting the word AH and it's A H,

Okay?

We're asking ourselves,

We're asking that part of us that's completely awakened to purify and release all guilt and shame of all the negative actions committed through our speech.

And we're making a commitment in the here and now to do better in our future.

And last but not least,

HUM,

H-U-M,

We're asking ourselves that part of us,

Our awakened heart,

Our Buddha nature,

To purify and release all guilt and shame of all the negative actions that we have committed through our mind,

You know?

And we're making a commitment into here and now to do better in the future,

All right?

So OM AH HUM is the mantra,

My love.

OM AH HUM.

Let's hear you say it.

OM AH HUM.

And as you get into your own rhythm,

It might sound a little bit like this,

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM.

That's how it sounds for me sometimes.

But if you're just beginning,

It might sound like OM AH HUM,

Because you do need to have all of your intention and all of your attention,

Right?

Attention,

Quality of mind,

Intention,

Quality of heart.

Attention that you will choose to stay focused and disciplined on the repetition of the mantra.

That's your attention.

Your intention is that as you chant the word OM,

We're purifying guilt and shame and all negativity that we have accumulated through our body.

So we're asking that part of us to purify OM,

Intention behind OM.

AH,

Purification of all negative actions committed through our speech.

HUM,

Purification and release of guilt and shame of all the actions committed through our mind,

Okay?

So OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM.

All right,

So go ahead,

My love.

Get settled into a comfortable seated position.

And go ahead and close your eyes if you haven't already done so.

And I want you to get to know your internal world for a few moments.

So scan your internal landscape.

What is it like inside?

Do you notice the quality of your thoughts?

Maybe you are aware that there's a specific thought pattern that's playing out in the loop.

Or maybe you don't notice anything at all.

That's okay.

And now let's begin,

My love.

But always remember,

Right?

Attention gets pulled away far,

Far into the future or into the past.

Or as I started to introduce the practice to you,

Maybe you notice some resistance around some of these words or the purification,

You know.

It's important that we purify constantly.

That means we are aware of our actions with mind,

Body,

Speech.

And we are choosing to transform for our own liberation,

For the liberation of all people.

Okay,

So let's practice.

Introduce the mantra into the mind,

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM.

And just find a rhythm that works best for you.

And just know that as you choose to come back and rest all the energy of the mind on the silent repetition of the extremely powerful and purifying mantra,

OM AH HUM,

You are completely redesigned in the timeline of your life.

Because you're setting in motion a future that's free of guilt and shame.

Imagine what that could be like.

A future that's free of guilt and shame.

Imagine what that could be like.

So light,

So creative,

So abundant,

Free of blockages,

With a commitment to do better.

So let's go,

Let's practice like this.

OM AH HUM,

Repeating that silently in the mind.

Come back,

My love.

Place your attention back on the silent repetition of the mantra,

OM AH HUM.

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM.

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM.

Stay with the practice,

My love.

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM.

Come back into the practice.

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM.

OM AH HUM,

OM AH HUM.

Okay,

My love,

We're going to bring this practice into a close.

Let the mantra go.

Notice what is it like inside.

You know when we initially do the check-in before we started the practice.

See what it's like inside now.

Anything changed?

And then go ahead and bring your hands and pray in front of your heart for the universal gesture of gratitude.

For the universal gesture of gratitude.

And just be grateful right now for your time in practice,

For your choice to come back into the mantra each time your attention drifts away.

Incredible work.

Remember that as you heal,

You're supporting the healing of the entire world.

As you transform your mind and open your heart,

You become a beacon of light.

For all those who are caught in a dark space right now,

You can be the beacon of light for them.

So thank you for that.

Thank you for choosing to transform your mind,

Your body,

And your speech.

Purification of body,

Speech,

And mind.

Releasing all guilt and shame for the sake of all beings.

So you can walk in the world as the best version of yourself.

All right.

I love you.

Thank you so much for practicing this way.
