This gentle practice invites you to reconnect with hope as openness and perspective. Through simple breath and movement, you’ll widen your view of the present moment and reconnect with the sense that life is still unfolding. A supportive reset for moments when you want to meet your day with trust, curiosity, and possibility. You’ll leave with an intention to guide your day: Today, I’ll look toward what’s possible.

Welcome to Day 29 of Insight Timer's Intention Setting Challenge.

Setting an intention is making a decision about who you want to be and how you choose to show up.

Over time,

Those choices become change.

Let's begin.

Hello love and welcome to Insight Timer's Intention Setting Challenge.

It is an honor and a joy to be here with you today.

My name is Sa DeSimone and today we're exploring hope.

Yes,

Hope.

A hope that is spacious,

Creative,

And deeply alive.

Hope is not about toxic positivity.

It's not pretending that everything is okay.

It's the quiet courage to stay open,

To trust that there's more to this moment than what we can see right now.

The moment is never the whole story.

A hopeful person isn't bypassing reality,

They're widening their view of it.

They remember that life has layers,

That meaning reveals itself over time,

And that every chapter,

Even the difficult ones,

Eventually finds its place in the larger tapestry of our lives.

When we lose touch with hope,

The mind shrinks the world down to fear and prediction.

When we reconnect with hope,

We open to possibility.

We remember to ask the precious questions,

What else is here?

What am I not seeing?

So our intention for today is,

Today I will believe that good things can still happen.

Let's feel this in the body.

So find a comfortable seat,

Let the shoulders soften.

And now,

In your inhale,

I want you to open your arms wide and lift them towards the sky.

Let the chest rise,

Let your gaze fall,

Looking to the vastness above you.

Maybe you are in your living room or your bedroom.

Just like you're looking up at the heavens.

And a reminder that perspective is always bigger than the moment.

And now pause with this beautiful posture,

Gazing up at the heavens,

Your arms and palms facing up.

Hold the breath.

And silently ask,

What else is here?

What am I not seeing?

And exhale,

Wrap your arms around your body in a warm embrace,

Like you're hugging yourself.

And now inhale,

Arms open,

Gaze lifts,

Looking up to the heavens.

Let your posture reflect a kind of hope that doesn't deny reality,

But refuses to limit what's possible.

And with that deep breath in,

Hold the posture and hold the breath.

And ask silently in your mind,

What else is here?

What am I not seeing?

And exhale,

Hug yourself.

And one more time,

Inhale,

Deep breath in,

Deepest of all of them before.

Look up,

Palms are facing up,

Open up and hold.

And silently repeat to yourself,

What else is here?

What am I not seeing?

Exhale,

Hug yourself.

Beautiful.

Now as we begin to close this practice,

As you move through your day,

Notice when the mind wants to shut down,

Or expect the worst,

Or slip into old patterns of doubt,

Pause,

And maybe do this practice again.

And remind yourself that life is still unfolding.

You don't need to know how things will work out to trust that something good is possible.

And remember your intention.

Today,

I will believe that good things can still happen.

On the next screens,

You'll be invited to set this intention,

Or a version that resonates for you,

On your Insight Timer home screen.

The simple act of seeing your intention reflected back to you throughout the day is enough to create change.

Good luck with the rest of the challenge.

Many blessings to you.
