Self-reflection at the end of a year can be very stressful. We want to make big decisions for the new year, we want to rectify things that went wrong during the past year and we put a lot of pressure on ourselves on the way. This meditation is a pressure release. We will go through what we are grateful for in the present moment and what we would carry on to the new year pressure-free. The smallest things are what makes us happy!

Hi there,

Welcome to this new year's pressure release meditation.

Find a comfortable position.

Let your arms rest on your laps and relax your shoulders.

Close your jaw and your face and when you're ready,

Go ahead and close your eyes.

Now take a long slow deep breath in and release.

Do that again.

Take a long slow deep breath in and release.

If you are like me,

You probably had self-reflection moments a couple of times during this month of December.

Revisiting the year and listing the good moments and those that you would like to work on for the coming year.

Although this can be a good thing,

It also creates a lot of pressure on us.

The pressure to absolutely make big decisions,

To find big goals during December for the coming year.

But what if we don't want to do it?

What if we can think of anything at the moment?

What if we just don't want to do it now?

This decision is completely up to us.

It is not a fashion trend that we have to follow.

So wherever you are on this last day of December,

It is okay.

While I don't feel like making any big decisions today,

I wrote down some gratitude affirmations that I would like to carry into the new year and that's what I would like to share with you today.

I am grateful for my life.

I am grateful for the free breathing air.

I am grateful for being healthy.

I am grateful for a smile from a stranger.

I am grateful for giving love and receiving it.

I am grateful for all the challenges on my path,

For it makes me the person I am today.

I am grateful for finally facing my trauma and working on it.

I am grateful for healing.

I am grateful for my family.

I am grateful for my friends.

I am grateful for the Mother Earth.

I am grateful for all the creatures.

I am grateful for clean water.

I am grateful for a warm home in the winter.

I am grateful for clean clothes.

I am grateful for loving myself.

I am grateful for accepting that I'm deserving.

I am grateful for being here in the present moment.

See,

There is an infinite number of things we should be grateful for.

But sometimes situations cloud our vision.

But we can decide either to see only problems in life or only possibilities.

Let's make the good choice and go for what is best for our well-being and joy.

I hope that these gratitude affirmations are something you can use to peacefully and mindfully carry in the New Year's pressure free because they all come free from you and for you.

Now take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in and release.

Do that again.

Let go of the past years,

Let go of the past as a whole,

Embrace the future.

But stay in the present moment,

Right here,

Right now.

Now draw your palms together to your heart.

I thank you for me dealing with me today.

My name is Saha and I wish you a Happy New Year in peace,

Joy and love.

You can stay here and whenever you're ready,

Go ahead and open your eyes.

Namaste.
