Fears and old thought patterns can keep you playing small in the world. This practice will help you to begin to notice those beliefs and transform them, so you can go out in the world with a sense of confidence, inner strength, and a feeling that anything is possible.

This practice is to transform limiting beliefs and create courage.

When you want to step out of your comfort zone,

It can bring out your vulnerabilities,

Fears and self-doubt can naturally arise,

Especially when you're doing something new.

We have emotional responses to fear,

Which is our mind doing its best to keep us safe.

However over time,

When these thoughts are played over and over,

They become limiting beliefs which can keep you small.

Yet you can notice these thoughts and limiting beliefs and begin to transform them.

In fact,

Fear doesn't have to be an indication that you shouldn't do something.

Maybe you could even see it as that you are facing the right direction.

So you could think of your fears as an opportunity to expand and that you're on the right path rather than something that keeps you playing small.

This practice invites you to feel those thoughts,

Those limiting beliefs and allows them to begin to dissolve.

So you have the courage and resilience to meet adversity and anything that comes your way,

To build will,

Inner strength and a sense of confidence.

Let's begin your practice by taking a comfortable seat,

Spine upright in a position of dignity,

But at the same time relaxed and at ease.

Close down the eyes.

Feel yourself in the space around you.

Notice your sit bones on the chair or the floor connecting you to the ground.

Find your foundation in place of stability.

Scan through the body from the crown of the head down to the toes.

Notice any areas of tension.

Let these to begin to soften and release.

You may even like to direct the breath here.

Maybe bringing your attention to these areas,

They may start to have a subtle shift.

Allow the muscles of the face to soften.

Allow to loosen.

Shoulders down and limbs at ease.

To allow the mind to calm and become grounded,

You will begin with a simple breath practice.

Firstly,

Find your breath in your body.

With the focus of the breath,

Rest in your belly.

In a moment,

I'll invite you to breathe in for a count of six and out for a count of six into the abdomen.

I will count you through the first few rounds.

If you find this difficult,

You can drop the breath count down,

But just remember to keep it even.

Take a full inhale and a full exhale to begin.

Breathe in,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

Breathe out,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

In two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

Out two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

Continue on in your own time.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

Now,

At the bottom of the exhale,

Place a four count hold.

Breathe in for six,

Out for six,

Hold for four.

Let the breath settle back into its own natural rhythm.

Breath effortless and easy in your body.

Breathless stays at the navel.

Our belly or navel centre is the place where we process and transform our experiences and emotions.

Bring to mind your fear or limiting belief.

Place it in the centre of the belly.

Allow any emotion that may arise to be there and give it a sense of acknowledgement.

Even though it might feel a little uncomfortable,

Feel and experience this in the belly.

C'mon,

Let's get it started!

See,

Sense or feel an almond-shaped flame of golden light about an inch back from the centre of your navel.

Each time you breathe in,

The flame of light begins to expand.

Creating this area with golden liquid light.

This light holds the qualities of confidence,

Self-belief,

Certainty,

Will and courage.

This golden light is stronger and more powerful than any fear,

Any doubt you may have.

Bring this light forward with full strength of your determination.

This fire of transformation begins to dissolve the limiting thoughts,

The fears,

And as you become more absorbed by the light,

They begin to melt away.

Replaced with the positive qualities of confidence,

Courage,

And certainty.

Will this light transform you as you become the embodiment of these qualities?

As you do this,

The breath becomes lighter and you become more absorbed by the colour gold.

Eventually this light begins to expand out into your heart.

It floods the heart area with golden light and gives the entire body a felt sense of lightness,

Confidence,

And ease.

You may like to work with one of the following affirmations for the last part of the practice.

The fire within me burns through all blocks and fears.

I am confident in all that I do.

I act with courage and strength.

I act with courage and strength.

Choose one or you may wish to make up one of your own.

Rest in the light as you repeat your affirmation for the last few minutes of the practice.

Internet Of Life And let your awareness come back to your breath.

Feel your body firmly grounded again on your seat.

Let the breath deepen.

And gently begin to bring some movement back into your body.

You can continue to do this practice daily as you move through any fear or limiting beliefs you might be facing.

Or just return to it whenever you feel you need it.
