We recognize the feelings that stem from each energy center when in and out of balance, while remembering the core of each is pure love. You can allow your eyes to gently close if you're in a space where you feel safe to do that And maybe a few cleansing breaths is what you need today so you can feel free to do that And you can imagine the air that's entering into your nose and filling up your body as really spreading to every corner and edge of your physical body and then with your exhales that breath is cleansing your system and just taking away anything that doesn't belong or doesn't need to be there right now and letting it go through the nose or the mouth And you can relax all the muscles in your face,
Relax the muscles in your forehead So you can feel the full width of your forehead,
Feel the temples of your face or of your head just getting a little bit further apart and maybe sinking down slightly just relaxing,
Softening into a natural position and you can feel the corners of your eyes separating and doing the same just feeling the full length and width of your eyes and your eyelids simply by relaxing those muscles not with any use of force just by letting go And relaxing your jaw just allowing your jaw to hang into place and as you're relaxing all the parts of your face and body first notice where there is the tension the first step of softening is noticing where you need to soften so it'll all be different I think a lot of us hold tension in our forehead and eyebrows and jaw so I usually start with these we all need to hold a lot of tension in our shoulders and our neck and I heard someone say that your current stressors are stored in your shoulders and past stress is stored in your hips and that felt like a tract with my body and my life you can take it or leave it if it resonates with you and you can take it or leave it if it resonates and softening the shoulders and feeling them come a little bit away from the ears and as you do so you might notice that they want to come forward and your heart is kind of hiding a little bit more so for this practice just allow your heart to come forward so your shoulders are resting back either in line with the heart or even back behind the heart but just being mindful of the shape that your spine is in as well so if you're puffing out your chest too much you're gonna start putting an arch in your lower back probably so just getting to that neutral position if you are sitting and actually even if you're laying feeling your head in line with your heart in line with your hips and they're stacked on top of one another if you're sitting up and just in line with one another if you're laying shoulders in line with the hips I'm just starting to bring awareness to your spine maybe on your inhales tracing your spinal cord going up the body from your root through the crown and then on your exhales tracing your spine going down the body from the crown to your root and letting your breath guide your awareness rather than the other way around so whenever your body takes an inhale letting your awareness trace up the spine and as your body takes an exhale letting your awareness fall down the spine and this is a practice in itself just allowing your body to breathe on its own so there's no control over the breath right now but becoming the observer of the body breathing and just be kind and gentle with yourself because sometimes that is very simple and easy thing to do and for some reason on some days that feels nearly impossible to watch your breath without controlling it so it's fine wherever you are today it's all a practice and as you're doing this reminding your forehead to be soft reminding your jaw to be soft and then start to bring some awareness into your hands letting the natural curvature of your fingers to exist and softening all the muscles in your arms and your hands and tuning into the center of the palm and just noticing what you feel there maybe feeling the pulse in your palm maybe feeling that pulse in your fingers as well and in your wrist just bringing some awareness to the power that your hands have the quiet strength that your hands are always giving off and then starting to notice the soles of your feet as well noticing that quiet strength that exists in the feet the pulse in the soles of the feet and the toes and don't worry if you don't feel this pulsing quite yet just let your awareness rest in the hands and in the feet and observe whatever is there and then begin to feel the pulse in your ears so your awareness is spread from the hands the feet and now the ears and just feel your body opening up becoming a bit more receptive and hearing whatever you hear noticing any tendencies to want to label or to judge the sounds that you hear if you're hearing my background noise just practicing hearing that as a part of the environment and not something to attach to or have opinions about and that's a practice I think we often think everything has to be perfectly still and quiet in order to have a meditation practice but that's not true you can practice no matter what environment you are in this is just an act of observing of stepping back of controlling what you think you should be hearing or what you think you should be feeling or what your expectations are for the practice it's letting go of all of that and trusting that every single time you sit down to this practice it will be different some days will feel really connected and aligned and powerful and other days you will feel lost and dark and it is okay all feelings are valid all feelings are necessary to some extent and you would not appreciate the feeling of being joyful of being connected and aligned if you did not know what it felt like to be disconnected and not aligned and down so just remembering that when you're in those down states that whatever state of mind you are currently in is allowing you to access other states of mind more fully just by that contrast so starting to bring your awareness back to your spinal cord and notice as we're in this practice for a bit more time notice if you can trace the spinal cord with a bit more ease and if not no worries but you can start to allow all of your awareness to funnel down coming to your root coming to the base of your spine space in between your sit bones being gradual with this noticing where your attention is wanting to go to and just gently guiding it and welcoming your awareness into the root your root first chakra and this can spread down our legs and be in our feet as well this is our first connection to the earth our sense of being grounded our sense of safety our sense of security and just connection to the earth itself connection to worldly things and events or lack thereof when out of balance we can feel senses of being insecure and being flighty so no matter what feelings are existing in your root chakra just practice sitting with whatever you find and then reminding yourself at the same time that at your core at all of our core beings exist the feelings of safety of security of being supported and of being connected to the earth all of our physical bodies are connected to the earth and these things are true whether you feel them or not and we do go through stages where we feel this and we go through stages where we don't and both are necessary so you can start to welcome in maybe a healing light from the earth itself you can imagine the very core of the earth that you are sitting on and knowing it's there beneath you the core of the earth exists beneath your seat and the core of the earth has its own warmth and light that is animating up from the earth so just opening yourself up to receive that opening up your root chakra to just receive some of that love and support maybe noticing a red light existing here or just your internal vision taking on a reddish hue but also be open to whatever color it is that you do see and you don't have to get fixated on seeing a specific color and now allow these core feelings of safety and security to travel up as we come into our sacral space at the lower belly this chakra our second chakra wraps around the lower belly and the sacrum this is our home of creativity our home of patience of pleasure and joy this is also our divine feminine energy our internal goddess energy that exists whether you identify as male or female or something in between we all have this feminine divine feminine energy inside of us that is patient that is creative that is receptive that is understanding and feels worthy of pleasure and worthy of fun and joy or lack of these emotions if it's out of balance sometimes we think that some people are just more creative than we are or we are not creative and we are all innately creative beings that is what we are and sometimes there's just a lot of self-doubt and questioning and fear of judgment that's stacked on top of that creativity so it's just a little bit harder to see or uncover sometimes but underneath all of that it's still there so maybe feeling pulsing in your lower belly maybe feeling the warm light from the earth and from your first chakra coming up here maybe your inner version taking on an orange hue but leaving space for what it is that you see and then can let these core feelings from your roots and from your sacral now of safety and worthiness to travel up into your solar plexus the space just above the navel I noticed that there was any tension you were storing in your stomach as we begin to check in as I mentioned before I think all of my negative feelings are in my stomach and this might be true for a lot of us with the media and attacking our sense of self all the time I was taking this time to tune in with what feelings are there and then allowing yourself to feel the core feelings that are here so even if there is a lack of self-worth or a lack of confidence just letting yourself feel beneath that and feel into the true confidence that you have in yourself it is there it is it all of us whether it's easy to access or more difficult it'll come in waves sometimes we feel really good about ourselves and we think we're good now and then the next day we're back to where we were so there's no need to be discouraged by the phases because that is a natural part of our life so feeling the true sense of confidence and and worthiness and there's a deep sense of love for yourself knowing that you are perfect exactly the way you are you would not have been made you would not be here if you weren't perfect exactly the way you are and remembering that your creators idea of perfect might not align with societal views of perfect and that is where that record scratch or that disconnect comes in but the more we listen to ourselves where your creator resides in some capacity and the more you listen to your instincts the stronger you can build this trust with yourself and it is something you can build upon so the color associated here is yellow but just notice what it is that you see but feeling that warmth feeling that sense of comfort and light from the earth from your roots your sacral and now your solar plexus these bottom three chakras responsible for our connection to the earth to this world my sense of safety our sense of creativity in our sense of confidence in ourselves and letting these core feelings start to come up and go into our heart center the heart being that transition from the material to the metaphysical spiritual whatever you want to call it the heart this is where we are just allow all of your awareness to come to the rhythm of your own heartbeat to rest in your heart center maybe feeling that sense of ease as you tune into your heart as you remember this insane power that your heart center has listen to your heart is not just a saying this is real for in situations that maybe don't align with the path that is best suited for us maybe our heart beats really fast and we feel a sense of anxiety or if we're hearing something that resonates with our path and with our insides it can maybe beat fast but it's more of like a thud and it just resonates and you can feel it it's like your heart's yelling yes so whatever it is that you're hearing at least that's how it feels in me as always leave space for what it is that you feel and this is our sense of love this is our senses of compassion and gratitude and this has to start with ourselves it can't be truly compassionate with others until we are truly compassionate with ourselves and compassion can simply mean having a sense of patience and having a sense of forgiveness and understanding with the struggles that you face in life it can be accepting that you have faced struggles I think a lot of times we don't even want to admit the struggles that we have so how can we have compassion for our struggles if we don't admit they're there and I think a lot of people make their own struggles seem not important by focusing on other larger struggles which is also important but we can do both what you are going through also matters even if you don't think it's as big a deal as other things it matters so just by acknowledging that that welcomes compassion that is that first step and by speaking to yourself as if you were speaking to a child or your best friend or someone who you love deeply and trusting that at your core you are nothing but love no matter what else is stacked on top of that love and just being grateful truly grateful for the fact that your heart is even beating right now that is no doing of your own there is nothing super special that you have done to allow your heart to beat that is simply a gift from whoever or whatever it is that created you the fact that your lungs are breathing the fact that your ears can hear these words and your eyes can see whatever it is that you see all of these things are gifts to be truly grateful for and it's all we really need at the end of the day and the color here is green but I've also heard pink so whatever it is you see is perfect and you can now allow the core feelings of your bottom four chakras to start to come up and now into your throat your throat is our home of communication our home of honesty truthfulness but also listening and receiving sometimes our throats can be too open and we overshare and other times it can be too closed and we don't speak our truth so just allowing this area to restore balance and allow your throat to be connected to your bottom four chakras feel this natural line of connection the wheels that are your chakras turning and allowing the energy to be pushed on to the chakra above and so feeling the support and creativity and self-worth and love all floating up into your throat so that you can communicate honestly what it is that you are feeling from a place of love and just watching the path from your throat to your heart be cleared and connected so that you can communicate clearly what it is that's in your heart even if it might not be what someone else wants to hear speaking your truth from a place of love because those hard truths that we have to speak at times can be the kindest thing for us to do ultimately by telling people what they want to hear all the time that just causes more suffering in the long run and I'm speaking this directly to myself so the color here is blue so maybe seeing a blue light coming from your throat and then letting the energy from all these bottom five chakras be pushed up into your third eye the space in between your eyebrows this is our intuition hub where that third eye is that truly sees everything that's going on but instead of thinking about opening your third eye as we hear very often these days let's think about turning the third eye maybe letting the third eye roll back or maybe just turning it inward and let's look inside of ourselves and work on seeing ourselves clearly and hearing what even is our gut telling us what is our intuition because it's so easy to get distracted by the external noise and it gets harder and harder to hear ourselves so we need to have this practice these moments where we just listen to ourselves just look and see what is there no matter how painful but feeling a sense of bravery and honesty and a sense that whatever you find is safe you will be okay it is safe for you to feel whatever it is that you need to feel the fear that we have of our feelings is so much worse than the actual feelings and we can put ourselves through hell just trying to numb and just trying to not feel certain things and I can speak first hand on this but all that does is create more suffering in the long run and it doesn't always help to hear that when you're in the middle of it but it's always true whether it's helpful or not and I think the truth is always something that's valuable to hear even if we are just it's in the background and we're just sitting on it and not necessarily acting on it right away so it takes time it takes patience and understanding with yourself and the struggles that you are going through and just know that you can trust yourself remember that you are made of love at your core and there's might be something that's a little bit scary at first about love but we all know how ultimately healing and wonderful and joyous love is so when we can see ourselves clearly we are then open to seeing the world around us clearly and sometimes that clarity is painful but I think that it is better to live in a painful reality than a fake happiness I guess I don't believe that ignorance is bliss ultimately I think it is bliss for a certain amount of time and then it becomes hell so the color that is in your third eye is an indigo they say like a deep blue or purple but notice what it is that you see and just feel your forehead feel the pulse of your forehead feel the power of your brain of your mind of your eyes and then finally can let all the core feelings of all of your bottom six chakras to come up into your crown at the very tip of your head to the highest point in your body this is our connection to spirit this is our connection to the one who created you into all the ones you have ever loved this is people this is animals this is plants this is I mean even inanimate objects sometimes whatever senses of love you have felt throughout your life are always with you they're always watching over you they're always cheering you on and proud of you even when you don't feel it even in times of struggle and heartache just allow yourself to feel this love feel the love of your ancestors knowing that they lived their life so that you could live this life they are supporting you they are here for you and they're always here for you and the lessons that your ancestors have learned in their life is within you as well you are not starting from scratch we are all in a relay race sort of thing I just open yourself up to allowing the lessons from your spirit guides from your angels from your ancestors from any word you have for spirit so allow yourself to receive these messages specifically made for you these messages can come to us in the form of song or lyrics that resonate with us they can come in in words in books or on the computer it can come in simply in just feelings and thoughts that are seem random but also seem to resonate and come from overheard conversations they can come from messages from strangers there's all these different ways that spirit can talk to us as long as we are curious and open to that possibility and just being aware of the events that play out in your life and the order in which they do so because there are no coincidences even if it takes many years to notice the relationship and the color here I have heard violet I have heard white I have heard silver violet I'm sure there's other colors people see in their crown chakra I just take a moment to again scan your spinal cord scan all of your chakras and maybe even seeing your root chakra and the light beaming down into the earth and the earth beaming back up into your roots and your crown chakra beaming up into the heavens and the heavens beaming back down on your crown that you feel yourself truly and deeply and innately connected to the earth that you've come from in your body and the heavens that your soul has come from feel yourself aligned in all planes of reality feel your whole body as a natural filter as you remember that you have all of the love that has ever existed in the universe ever already inside of you so there is no need for you to seek approval from others or to try to gain love from others because by doing that it's automatically not acknowledging the love that we already have it's impossible for us to get more love we already have all of it inside of ourselves so we can act from that love we don't have to act for love to receive love we can act by sharing our love because we have a direct line to the source you can also let your body be a filter there is so much heavy dark emotions and feelings and events happening in the world there always has been but it feels heightened and if you feel like you have the space inside of you for this next or this last part of the practice then you can feel free to listen and follow along but if you're in a space where you're feeling a little bit too heavy to begin with and like you don't have too much to give right now then just allow yourself to sit and listen inward and continue to feel your body healing and allow you this healing to take place allow yourself to be loved so if you are feeling like you have something to share today then you may follow along as your body breathes in you can imagine all the pain and anything that anyone in this group or in the world around you or someone specifically who you might know is struggling imagine their pain and their lack of trust in themselves to enter into you breathe in that breathe in that pain breathe in that suffering and welcome it into your body because your body is a filter for this pain and suffering your body is nothing but love and with all of your chakras aligned and your connection to source and to the earth you have the space to take away another's pain you can breathe in their pain and sorrow and you can breathe back out nothing but love and understanding and patience and healing and by doing this you are not taking on another's pain you are not carrying it for them you are simply transferring that pain you are simply the filter the water filter the air purifier you are simply alchemizing is that the right word performing alchemy on pain and suffering and remembering that even at the core of pain and suffering is love so you can allow yourself to receive this love if you're in a space where you need to receive and allowing yourself to give freely and openly if you're in a place where you can do that just letting yourself rest in this stillness for just a few more moments and start to feel yourself coming back into your body start to take deeper exhales especially if you were just sharing some of your love with the world take some deeper exhales and find some stillness at the bottom of those exhales so that you are emptying yourself of anything you might have picked up that you don't need and then start to take deep inhales conscious inhales and gathering some love once again from your guides and your ancestors and feel them hugging you just imagine or feel there's a giant group hug around you knowing that if you are sharing your love it is not just your love you have help you're never alone if you are trying to heal people and heal others you have so much help with that and just acknowledging that help letting yourself be helped letting yourself be loved and then if it feels natural for you to do so or like something you want to try you can bring your hands to a prayer position at your heart center your palms and fingers making contact with each other feeling the pulsing of your palms and fingers again and now them directly pulsing into each other feeling that power growing even stronger and then feeling that circular shape you're creating around your heart and then your hearts pulsing into the hands the hands pulsing back to the heart and just how much power you have right here between your hands and your heart you have so much power and then just gently bowing your head to that power to the source that created you to all of your guides and ancestors and angels to everyone in this group with you completing this practice with you and finally to yourself for showing up for receiving and for being may this practice continue to heal you through the rest of your days and nights and may you bring this love into everything that you do and to everyone that you see namaste
