Namaste and thank you for pressing play today.
Lifting ourselves even if it's just a few moments of awareness,
Of slowing things down,
Of stepping away from to-do lists and expectations.
It provides us this beautiful opportunity to really settle into the present moment,
To experience how the body is feeling,
To calm the breath and to quiet the mind.
Calming the breath and quieting the mind gives us an opportunity to see things exactly as they are and not through a lens of frustration or anxiety or fear.
Throughout the day,
Experiences are going to come towards us.
We can't change that,
But what we can change is the way that we respond to those experiences.
We're going to do a very quick breathing exercise today to just allow ourselves to step out of the hustle and to step out of the expectation and to step into the present moment.
Wherever you are,
Find a safe space.
Maybe it's seated,
Maybe it's lying down,
Maybe it's just pausing where you are and standing.
Allow yourself to just begin to curate long inhalations and really nourishing exhalations.
Taking as many smaller breaths as we need to get ourselves into that space where the inhale feels as though it's maybe three to five seconds and the exhale just a bit longer.
Maybe softening the eyes as we really start to feel the wave-like sensation and movement of the breath in the body.
Allowing the breath to call in and experience relaxation around the eyes and in the eyebrow.
Putting go of any worry.
Getting go of the idea of being anywhere else but right here,
Feeling the breath.
Feeling the body.
Just notice what the body is asking for,
Notice maybe what the spirit is asking for and breathe that in.
Just the sensation of calmness,
Maybe it's strength or bravery,
Maybe it's some fearlessness,
Whatever it is,
Breathe that in.
On the exhale just let go,
Without even thinking,
Just let go.
Let go of whatever's in your way right now.
Let go of anything that we feel in tightness in the body,
Tension in the body.
Let go of these feelings of dissatisfaction or maybe even overwhelm and just keep breathing in what our body needs right now.
Long beautiful inhales really carrying exactly what it is into every space and every cell in the body and those exhales they just keep letting go.
Over and over and over you have this opportunity to breathe in and breathe out.
Taking a moment to breathe in gratitude,
Gratitude for centering and for grounding,
Gratitude for quieting the mind and just being.
I know that you can come back into this place at any time throughout the day reconnecting into your breath,
Allowing everything around you to quiet,
To just get present.
Softly begin to flutter the eyes open and just take a gaze around with renewed refreshed vision.
Maybe everything looks just a bit more clear.
Together we'll take one more big breath in through the nose and let it go.
Thank you so much for practicing with me today.
I hope you have a beautiful day.
Namaste.
