Welcome yourself to this practice.
Find a comfortable seat or perhaps a position lying down on the floor.
If you're back,
It's better that way.
And after the first moment of landing,
Of arriving,
Let something settle,
Either in your shoulders or your hips,
Or perhaps you settle by observing or feeling your feet in contact with the floor.
After that kind of settling,
Let's observe if we can focus for a moment on the breath that comes in through the nose and perhaps expands through those places where something has been settled.
We will do a couple of rounds of a breath that easily comes in through the nose and softly let the body land in where it is at this stage and at this moment.
The possibility of landing and being in presence at every moment lies in our ability to observe the breath.
So where we are,
Without changing or forcing,
Naturally let's observe how the breath comes in and which areas expand and find space when the breath is welcomed in and which areas,
Which spaces soften and relaxes when we breathe out.
We are intentionally observing the natural breath as it comes,
Welcoming each inhalation as a possibility of expansion and allowing each exhalation to be a welcoming experience of release,
Observing how the breath comes in and observing how the breath comes out.
So presence,
It's a gift that we receive continuously that comes and goes depending if the mind wanders but with the ability of observing the breath as it comes in and really observing the breath and letting it be as it comes out.
We bypass and go into that possibility of stillness,
Of presence,
Being soft and kind with our capacity of stillness which doesn't have to be rigid.
It's one that moves and encompasses everything when the breath comes in and it's one that softens and comes down every time we breathe out,
Welcoming this next breath as it comes naturally and softening,
Allowing this next breath out as it goes.
Where you are,
Try to find a deep inhalation through your nose,
And an open mouth exhalation.
Start to find gentle movements to your fingers and your toes.
If it's available to you,
You can do it.
If it's not,
You can do it.
Start to find gentle movements to your fingers and your toes.
If it's available to you,
Bring one hand to your heart and welcome yourself to this present moment.
