This is a sacral chakra guided meditation.
The Svadhisthana chakra is the second chakra and it is our seat of creativity and pleasure.
This chakra sits below the navel and the center of the pelvic bowl.
The element of this chakra is water and the color is orange.
Find a comfortable position either seated or lying down.
Gently invite the eyelids to close,
The mind to settle and the body to relax.
As you find stillness,
Start to bring your awareness to your breath.
Feel the breath as it moves through your body,
Getting a sense for movement within the body Begin to take your awareness down to your pelvis.
The pelvis is made up of two paired hip bones,
Fused together by the pubic symphysis and at the back by the sacrum.
With a sturdy bony bowl and attached to it are the legs and the spine.
Notice how this pelvic bowl region feels for you.
Does it feel rigid,
Fluid,
Connected or disconnected?
Is there an aliveness there?
With your awareness down in your pelvic bowl,
Begin to envision a bright orange glow in the center of it.
It is from this place that we generate creativity.
It is from here that we tap into pleasure and our ability to play.
It is also from this place that we cultivate our ability to go with the flow of life.
Begin to actively draw your breaths down into your pelvic bowl,
Drawing your inhales deeply towards the bottom of your pelvis.
Imagine at the bottom of the pelvis the network of muscles that act like a trampoline and see the energy of your inhales rebound up your body as exhales,
Taking the orange glow of your sacral chakra up your body with them,
Connecting you all the way up to the roof of your mouth towards the crown of your head.
Each cycle of breath helps to envelop you in the warm orange glow of your svadhisthana chakra,
Filling you with fulfillment and creativity.
As you continue to draw your inhales down into your pelvic bowl and see them rebound back up your body with the orange glow of your sacral chakra,
Say to yourself,
I am creative and joyful.
I allow for pleasure in my life.
I know when to let go and go with the flow.
Sit with these words,
Continuing to repeat them to yourself.
I am creative and joyful.
I allow for pleasure in my life.
I know when to let go and go with the flow.
I am creative and joyful.
I allow for pleasure in my life.
Bring your attention back to your pelvic bowl and to the orange light of your sacral chakra and visualize it gradually getting smaller until it becomes the size of a small fairy light.
Bring your awareness back to the flow of your breathing.
Notice the natural movement of your belly and chest as you breathe.
Become aware of your full body again as it rests on the surface beneath you.
Bring your attention to your toes and give them a little wiggle and then to your fingers and give them a little wiggle.
Give your shoulders a little shrug.
Let yourself become aware of the room again,
Of any sounds that are close by.
When you are ready,
In your own time,
Gently open your eyes.
You are creative and joyful.
You allow for pleasure in your life.
You know when to let go and go with the flow.
Namaste.
