A post-surgery healing meditation.

Settling in with your eyes softly open or gently closed,

Welcome yourself into this present moment.

Eyes open to the environment and sounds around you,

The touch of air on your skin,

Sensations where your body touches the surfaces that are supporting it.

Feeling yourself as a warm-hearted,

Witnessing presence.

Set attention free to wander about while noticing the various perceptions coming and going around and within your body and mind.

And unhook attention from the thinking mind,

Letting thoughts go like clouds drifting away above you.

Your mind becoming calm and clear like a cloudless,

Open,

And spacious sky.

The body letting go into the feeling of simply being and being at ease and calm like the surface of a pond on a windless day.

And allow attention to turn inward to sensations within your body of ease,

Calm,

Safety.

If helpful,

Inviting in people,

Memories,

Or a place in nature that helps you nourish these feelings of being secure,

Safe,

Calm,

And at ease throughout your entire body and mind.

Noticing where and how you experience these sensations of ease and calm.

Noticing that you can return to and nourish these inner resources at any time,

Wherever and however you are,

Day or night,

Whenever you wish to feel totally secure,

Safe,

Calm,

And at ease.

Taking time now to welcome and release sensations of tightness or tension in the hinges of the jaw.

Letting go and loosening throughout the jaw,

Mouth,

And tongue.

Ears.

In of the nose and face.

All around the eyes.

Forehead and scalp soft,

Cool,

At ease.

Back of the neck and shoulders.

Letting go into natural feelings of heaviness or lightness throughout the shoulders,

Arms,

And hands.

Noticing sensations of ease throughout the torso,

Pelvis,

And hips.

The natural sensations of heaviness or lightness in the legs and feet.

The entire body letting go into a field of vibrant,

Warm,

And pleasant sensations flowing throughout the body.

Thoughts drifting away like clouds in the sky.

Welcoming your experience just as it is.

Feeling at ease,

Calm,

Secure.

Knowing and feeling confident without your thinking mind having to know how that everything's in its right place,

That all is well and just as it should be.

Slowly breathing easily and comfortably.

Sensing the gentle rise and release of the chest and belly with each breath.

Inhaling gently expanding.

Exhaling gently releasing.

Each breath loosening,

Softening,

Releasing tension throughout the body.

While every cell and tissue receives healing and nourishing flows of energy with each breath.

As you continue deepening into feeling secure,

Calm,

And at ease.

Every breath cleansing the body,

Restoring vibrant health and well-being throughout the entire body and mind.

Attention unhooking and drifting away from the thinking mind.

Thoughts like clouds drifting away above.

Allow attention to settle into your heart area.

Welcoming and nourishing feelings of loving kindness,

Warm-hearted compassion throughout your body and mind.

As you feel yourself as a warm-hearted,

Friendly,

And detached witnessing presence,

Letting thoughts go.

Your mind calm and clear like a cloudless,

Open,

And spacious sky.

Letting go into the feeling of simply being and being at ease.

Body and mind deeply resting in the restorative feeling of ease and well-being.

Knowing and feeling without your thinking mind having to know how that all is well and just as it should be.

And sense yourself in an environment,

Inside or outdoors,

Where you're feeling secure and comfortable.

This place becoming vibrantly real as you explore your surroundings,

Taking in the sights and sounds to your right and left.

Above and below.

In front and behind.

Noticing surfaces where you're standing,

Sitting,

Or laying upon.

Perhaps grass,

Sand,

Or resting in the sun with your back against a warm tree or rock,

Or comfortably resting in a cozy armchair or bed.

Seeing and taking in the environment and sounds around you.

Birds,

Leaves rustling in the wind,

Or the restful sounds of water gently babbling down a nearby stream.

Or the sound of waves on the sand of a nearby beach.

Listening to the wonderful sounds and environment around you,

Feeling deeply secure and safe.

Peace and restfully at ease.

Enjoying the wonderful presence of everything around you,

Feeling grateful to be here at ease and safe as your body continues healing with minimal discomfort.

Healthy new cells weaving themselves into place as unneeded debris washes away in the flowing rivulets of your bloodstream.

Cells,

Tissues,

And muscle aligning,

Organizing and healing themselves for your body's maximum healing,

Health,

And well-being.

Seeing yourself now fully recovered,

Going about your life engaged in your favorite activities,

Moving with ease and grace,

Doing what you love without a thought or care in the world.

Your body strong and vibrant,

Feeling and enjoying its health,

Aliveness,

And well-being.

Smiling with a warm and grateful heart,

Taking in the knowing without your thinking mind needing to know how,

That you're completely healed,

Safe,

And protected,

Surrounded by love.

Knowing that you have gifts to share and things to accomplish with your strong and vibrant body,

Knowing and feeling how your body fully and easily cooperates in the worldly engagements you're involved in,

Feeling the strength,

Resilience,

And power of your body that is yours to call upon as you wish.

Taking in and out peace,

And well-being.

Turn your attention to welcoming the following statements as affirmations of fact that your body and mind are now taking in and engaging without your thinking mind needing to know how.

My body has a blueprint of health and wholeness that enables it and my mind to feel whole,

Healed,

Healthy,

Vital,

And strong.

I sense this and I feel my body following these instructions.

When I am awake and asleep,

My body's building new vital and healthy cells that are fully aligned with the original blueprint of my body's innate health,

Wholeness,

And well-being.

Pure and powerful healing energies are flowing throughout my body as I go through my life recovery with ease,

With no complications,

Minimal bleeding,

Little discomfort,

With a sense of ease and well-being.

And I feel my body following these instructions.

My body mends and recovers quickly and efficiently,

With healthy new cells interweaving themselves into place.

And I feel my body easily washing away and eliminating all unnecessary debris.

When I eat,

Welcoming the various perceptions that are arising within and around you.

Knowing and feeling that what's occurred is real and powerful beyond your imagination.

Knowing that you can call upon this healing place and your loving guardians and friends whenever you wish,

Allowing your senses to open to the environment and sounds around you,

The touch of air on your skin,
