As you're settling into a comfortable resting position with your eyes softly open or gently closed,

Open to the environment and sounds around you.

Sensations of warmth or coolness where the air touches your skin.

Sensations where the body touches the surfaces that are supporting it.

Letting go into these sensations.

Unhooking from thoughts and thinking.

Freeing attention to welcome sensations in the hinges of the jaw and mouth,

Ears,

Skin of the face and nose.

All around the eyes.

Sensations of coolness on the forehead,

Scalp,

Back of the neck and shoulders.

The natural sensations of heaviness or lightness throughout the shoulders and arms.

Sensations throughout the torso and pelvis.

Natural soothing sensations throughout the hips,

Legs and feet.

Letting go of thoughts and thinking.

Sensing the entire body as a field of sensation and feelings of being at ease,

Secure,

Grounded.

And the body breathing itself and the belly gently expanding with each inhalation.

Releasing with each exhalation,

With each breath.

Welcoming soft,

Warm,

Velvety sensations of ease and well-being spreading throughout the entire body.

And notice a particular emotion or thought that's calling for your attention.

And any images or memories that come in with it.

Welcoming this thought or emotion just as it is without trying to fix or change it.

Perhaps imagining a door opening and this emotion or thought walking into your inner environment.

Noticing.

What does it look like?

What's its shape,

Form or formlessness?

And do inquire with it.

What brings you here?

What do you want?

What do you need?

And what actions are you asking me to take that will help me feel in greater harmony with myself and in my life?

With each of these inquiries,

Imagine yourself as the emotion speaking its wisdom back to you.

Taking time now to ask these questions and hear their responses.

What brings you here?

What do you want?

What do you need?

And what actions are you asking me to take that will help me feel in greater harmony with myself and in my life?

Each emotion or thought as a wise messenger that's here to help you speed your way through life with harmony and well-being.

Noticing the actions that it's asking of you,

That by taking it you will feel in greater harmony with yourself,

In your life and relationships.

Taking your time now,

But when it feels right,

Affirm your intention to carry out any actions that you need to take that this emotion or thought is calling you to take in your life.

And when it feels right and you're ready to come back to your eyes open state of body and mind,

Allow your eyes to gently open and close several times while nourishing feelings of well-being and being connected to yourself,

Grounded and at ease.

Welcoming these inner resources of well-being and ease that are always here within you,

Easily accessible wherever you are,

Whomever you're with,

Whatever you're doing.

Again,

Affirming your intention to continue consulting your emotions and thoughts,

Taking time to inquire with them what they want,

What they need,

And the actions that they may be asking you to take in your life that will enable you to feel in harmony with yourself,

In your relationships,

In your life,

Wherever you are,

Whomever you're with,

Whatever you're doing now and for the rest of your life.
