Today we'll do this reclining guided relaxation that involves sensing different aspects and parts of our bodies in a way to listen to our bodies.

But when we listen to our bodies,

It's not so much like listening to words necessarily.

I mean,

You might hear words or have a word or something come in,

But we listen really to the sensations,

To the energy.

If the body is like an orchestra,

We,

You know,

In a way,

Each part of the body or each layer of the body has its own kind of vibration,

Its own tone,

Its own,

Maybe melody,

Its own transmission energetically.

So I just make ourselves available this way.

And so start by sensing your body,

Your back on the ground,

Check that you're comfortable,

Have the intention to soften your muscles and also even soften the way that you sense your body.

I'm not coming in with any expectation or demand,

But just kind of opening our receptivity of our senses.

As you're breathing,

You might start by sensing your skin.

And you could sense your skin as a whole,

Or you could maybe just feel one little section of your skin.

It's up to you.

Allow the breath to have its own rhythm as you kind of tune in with the,

We could say the wisdom of your skin.

How that feels.

How your skin,

We could even say,

Vibrates,

You know,

Our skin,

Such an important kind of sheath or covering between the inner body and the outer body.

Sensing,

Some listening,

A tuning with your skin.

Do the same or something very similar with the muscles.

Tuning in with your muscles is very different than tuning in with the skin.

The muscles have a different kind of quality or texture,

Or sometimes weight.

When we relax our muscles,

Often the sensation is heavy.

And when you breathe and you softly tune in with your muscles,

You could tune in with your whole muscular system,

Or you could just choose one muscle where you're drawn to kind of sense right now.

So it's totally up to you.

It's like when we tune in with a tree or an animal or something,

We kind of need to match the vibration of that thing we're tuning in with.

So how do you tune in with your muscles or a muscle so that you're really sensing and attuned and receptive to the transmission of that muscle?

I want you to shift slightly and tune in with your bones,

Skeletal system.

And again,

You can tune in with the system as a whole,

Or you can choose,

You know,

One bone,

A thigh bone,

One of the femurs or the ribs or wherever you're drawn.

Often when we're quite relaxed,

The feeling tone of the bones is a bit of a feeling of lightness,

But the bones also have an outer white shell.

The bones are a little bit different coming into the layers of bone.

Bones also have a transmission and a life flow through our bones.

You tune into your bones or a bone,

Being available for that energy.

Let's tune into the organs,

Brain,

The heart,

The lungs,

Kidneys,

Liver,

Uterus,

Intestines,

So many possibilities.

You could tune in with the organ system,

Your visceral organ system as a whole,

Or choose one organ.

The lungs,

Whatever you're drawn to.

And again,

It's going to be quite different than attuning to the bones or the muscles.

Organs often,

They're very protected by the bones and the muscles.

There's maybe a very soft feeling,

It's a different vibration and pace.

Be curious about sensing,

Receiving the transmission or the energy or the message from the organ that you want to attune with.

Tune into the ecosystem of your whole body,

All the,

You know,

There's so many layers.

There's the cells,

There's the blood,

There's the glands.

And if you want,

You can kind of listen to the whole orchestra,

The whole ecosystem of your body.

Just knowing you can't do this wrong,

We kind of make ourselves available,

We tune in how we choose to,

And then we'll be open and receptive to whatever comes up or shows itself to us.

Let it be effortless,

Just resting and available to the wisdom of your body,

And then to kind of widen your awareness to include your body now as a part of a larger ecosystem of all of nature,

The ground,

The planet,

Also your body is connected to light and to spirit,

Also part of that kind of an ecosystem,

Mystery.

Gently deepen your breath,

A little bit of movement or a stretch,

And gently bring yourself back,

Taking your time,

Eventually bringing yourself up,

And we can bring our practice to a close,

Just joining the palms together at the heart,

Namaste.
