In a bad mood? Sometimes we can get down on ourselves for feeling this way, but rather than doing that, how about listening to a meditation that helps reset your emotions? This is a simple, calming guide to breathing with the help of visualizations. We address our emotions head on, identify them and, and intentionally remove the physical tension that they create in our bodies. It made me feel better just creating this for you. I hope it helps you as well!

Hello and welcome.

Are you in a mood that you don't seem to have control over?

Sometimes we wake up and feel excited for the day,

But sometimes we just don't.

Sometimes we know the reason why,

And sometimes we just don't.

Why yesterday did I wake up feeling alive and not today?

Why that changed?

Our bodies and minds are complex.

Today for this moment we're going to let go of the whys and just focus on getting balanced again.

Please take a moment to get comfortable however that looks for you today.

If you're sitting with a coffee or tea rather than in a meditation pose,

That's just fine.

Today we're going to be gentle with ourselves.

Maybe today you're feeling the excess of an uncomfortable emotion.

Apathy,

Grief,

Anger,

Hopelessness.

And I want you to take the time before we really start to forgive yourself for these so-called negative emotions.

Be kind to yourself.

Please recognize that having these emotions isn't a negative or positive thing.

It simply just is.

Today we will try to bring them more into balance so that you no longer feel uncomfortable.

Let's take a moment to try and observe our emotions and put a name to them.

It's not always easy to name them,

So let's really try to observe it.

What emotion are you feeling that's uncomfortable?

Do you have a physical response that goes along with this emotion?

Where in your body do you feel it?

Let's address this and alleviate it.

Do you feel a tightness somewhere when you feel these emotions?

If so,

Consciously feel where the tightness is.

Now take a slow deep breath in through your nose and release your breath along with any unnecessary tightness in your body.

Good job.

Now this time when we exhale,

Not only will we release the tension,

But we can visualize it physically leaving our bodies as smoke.

Sometimes this helps.

Okay so let's breathe in slowly and deeply through the nose.

Feel and visualize the breath dissolving all tension into gray smoke and exhale the tension as though it were smoke leaving your body.

Observe how your body feels as you continue to breathe slowly and deeply in and out through your nose,

Dissolving and relaxing the tension with purpose.

Now let's address any feelings of potential emptiness.

With this next deep breath in through our nose,

I also want you to breathe in love and gratitude.

Close your eyes if you haven't already and actually picture this energy of love as a sparkling white gold energy in the air that you breathe in and allow it to remain inside you,

Hovering around inside your chest like a comfortable and lasting hug,

Filling any voids.

So let's try it.

In your mind's eye,

Observe this beautiful energy just in front of you.

Now take a slow purposeful breath in through your nose and draw this magical energy deep into your abdomen,

Allowing it to swirl and dance around and eventually resting in your heart center.

Beautiful.

Now let's combine both breaths together,

Breathing in the sparkling calm energy and breathe out the tightness and tension.

Continue to breathe deeply.

The warm and comfortable energy will be taking over spaces in your body where the tensions have been living.

There isn't space for both.

Okay,

Here we go.

Breathe in the beautiful golden energy of gratitude.

And breathe out the smoke of tension.

Again,

Breathe in the sparkling cozy love and release any remaining unwelcome emotions.

Now please take more deep breaths like this on your own while I remain silent for now.

It's amazing how just remembering to breathe can make a world of a difference.

Throughout the day,

If you feel your bad mood creeping back in,

Please just remember to take a moment for yourself to do a couple rounds of these breaths.

It's a quick reset and works wonders.

I'm so proud of you for recognizing how to find the tools to help yourself in such a healthy way today.

Thank you so much for joining me.

Have a lovely day.
