Healing reawakens feeling. You’ll explore how emotional thawing can feel overwhelming at first — not because you’re getting worse, but because you’re finally safe enough to feel again. This session offers a nurturing reflection from the Wisdom of the Waves, self-talk that gently validates your return to feeling, and a rhyme to steady you in the soft return.

When the numbness melts,

The feelings that return as the freeze begins to thaw.

Today's gentle message for this you in transition is this.

Healing can hurt,

Not because we're breaking,

But because we're becoming.

And as the freeze melts,

Even subtle pain can feel intense.

Not because you're worse,

But because you're no longer numb.

Let's go to the wisdom of the waves for a micro moment of insight and inspiration.

When you were surviving,

You couldn't afford to feel everything.

Nervous system activated,

You were in protection mode.

But healing melts the freeze,

And now even subtle pain can feel more intense.

Not because you're getting worse,

But because you're no longer shutting it down.

You are healing.

Your body knows this.

You are no longer numb.

Can you trust what is rising is ready to be felt?

These are the feelings that return for gentle processing as the freeze begins to thaw.

Like ice turning to water under warmth.

What once was frozen begins to flow again.

Emotional healing doesn't mean you're broken,

Because you're not.

Healing begins when you shift how you relate to your inner world.

With gentle willingness,

You create space where resistance once lived,

And in that space,

Healing manifests.

I allow myself to feel from time to time,

Even when it hurts,

Because I no longer need to be numb to survive.

What I feel now is proof I am alive,

Present,

And growing.

I am no longer numb.

I trust what's rising is ready to be felt.

These are the feelings that return for gentle processing as the freeze begins to thaw.

And so it is.

What once was numb begins to feel it's not a wound,

But how I heal.

What once was numb begins to feel it's not a wound,

But how I heal.

What once was numb begins to feel it's not a wound,

But how I heal.

What once was numb begins to feel it's not a wound,

But how I heal.

How I heal.

I know this meditation is directed at feelings but can equally be applicable to me, In my physical pain situation. Healing can certainly hurt, but I pray that all the work I have put into allowing and accepting may result in real healing tomorrow and the Universe may grant me some relief. If actual pain is not relieved I know I will continue to heal and grow spiritually. Thank you Reuben 🙏
