I need a reset.
The acknowledgement of what you've been through leading up to this very moment and the willingness to respond in a way that nurtures you.
Taking a moment to thank yourself for this.
A practice today that allows the day's interactions to subside.
Preparing you for the next part of your day.
A perfect transition.
A perfect reset.
So that we can restore,
Recharge for the next part of our day.
Allowing yourself to take a deep breath in through the nose and holding it for 5,
4,
3,
2,
1 and relax as you exhale.
One more time,
Deep breath in through the nose and holding it for 5,
4,
3,
2,
1 and exhale.
Relax.
Acknowledging the pace of life.
Maybe today has been a fast-paced day for you.
Maybe it's been completely the opposite.
The ups and the downs.
It's all part of being human.
With the power of our awareness we can sidestep this by redirecting from thoughts that don't fulfill us and directing to thoughts that do.
Taking a moment to gently reflect on what your day has been like so far.
What things have already gone well.
The little things.
It's easy to get caught up in the thoughts that our mind gives us about the things that haven't gone so well.
This is just the nature of the human mind.
But with a gentle shifting of our awareness we can consciously bring to mind these things that have already gone well.
What's gone well for you so far?
So,
Here you are having this reset.
It might be nice to gently reflect on three things that have already gone well.
What's the first little thing since you got up this morning that has gone well?
What's the second thing that has already gone well today?
Allowing this to present itself.
It's nice to appreciate.
And finally the third thing that has already gone well today.
Now you can relax and let go of this.
Arriving here now.
Tuning into your body.
Allowing it to soften if any tension or resistance has returned.
Allowing is the magic word here.
Allowing yourself to notice these surroundings.
This moment that will nurture you if you allow it.
Here I am right now in comfort and choosing to ease my body.
I am here for me.
Noticing my forehead and softening.
Noticing my face and softening.
Noticing my shoulders.
Allowing them to drop and soften.
Noticing my back and belly.
Softening.
Noticing my legs and softening.
I am noticing myself.
Holding my body lightly.
I am noticing the parts of my body that make contact with where they're resting.
It feels like my body melts.
A pull of gravity absorbing this experience.
Allowing my body to melt.
My arms to hang heavy.
My whole body resting.
Being gently held by the pull of gravity which gives me this feeling of my body melting.
The more I experience my awareness seeping into these places the more grounded I become.
The more aware I am of my external world even though my eyes may be closed.
And my internal world as I drop further and further into this very grounded anchored experience.
I am noticing the thoughts in my mind.
The pictures.
The streams of words.
I am noticing the mind.
I notice the me that looks out from behind my closed eyes.
This place where I notice my awareness.
I can be conscious of this space of awareness that looks out from behind my closed eyes.
This is my safe space.
Looking out from behind my eyes as my body melts in this very moment.
I am here reminding myself that I deserve this moment for myself.
For myself and from myself.
Giving myself the right to be here now.
As I notice the movement from my body breathing at its own rate and rhythm.
Before we move on to finish off this meditation.
Keeping this state of allowing.
Relax.
Wakefulness.
As the music builds allow yourself to be absorbed within it.
And on the count up from 1 to 10.
Allow.
Rejuvenate.
Restore.
