Affirmations for my mind.

We are going to be experiencing and affirming our relationship to the mind by becoming more intimate with the mind.

The mind,

In this context,

Is a stream of information,

Also known as thoughts.

This ongoing stream that we can either invest energy in or step back from and be the witness to allow thoughts,

The space,

To come and go.

This is a deeper acknowledgement,

A wiser,

Kinder and more compassionate acknowledgement of the mind.

And you don't have to do anything,

But allow the affirmations to do their thing.

You can repeat them if you wish,

But you may just want to allow them to be gently absorbed into your subconscious.

The more you allow your favourite affirmations to be gently absorbed,

The more likely you'll notice subtle but significant differences in your life.

The more we are the witness to the mind,

In other words,

Noticing thoughts that are not aligned with our soul and choosing something else,

The more we grow spiritually.

The more we align with the universe and choose thoughts that do align with the universe,

We can then experience the incredible dimensions that the universe manifests for us.

Relax.

Give yourself the right to be here now.

My body.

My mind.

My world.

My breath.

My sweet spirit of awareness.

You are a spiritual being,

Having a human experience.

Notice what it's like when your attention is neck up in your mind,

Taking attention to this area,

The space that holds your thoughts.

Hello mind,

What are you up to?

Is your mind busy,

Not so busy,

Or somewhere in between?

For a moment,

You might silently observe what your mind is showing you or telling you.

Notice who is noticing.

Be aware that you're noticing.

Notice how your thoughts present themselves.

Are they like pictures,

Streams of words,

Or maybe they're like a sound recording in your head?

Let's move into these affirmations.

As the count up from 1 to 10 takes place,

Prepare yourself to be like a sponge to water,

Allowing the music and affirmations to gently encompass you.

I am a spiritual being,

Having a human experience.

Hello mind,

You've been here all my life.

Thank you.

My mind has helped create who I am today,

And it can bring moments of meaningful connection for me.

The old Asian proverb,

The mind is a wonderful servant,

But a terrible master,

Is making more and more sense to me.

Dear mind,

You are unhelpful sometimes.

Can I let you use me,

To be a master of me?

You are,

However,

So helpful,

Especially when I put you to use,

To be a servant for me.

The helpful thoughts that you have given me,

That have nurtured me,

Nurtured those around me.

I am grateful for you,

Dear mind,

For giving me thoughts that are a reference point for me to choose from.

The choice of whether I give energy to,

Or not give energy to,

The thoughts that come into my mind.

I am grateful for the opportunity to observe my thoughts,

And choose the ones that serve me.

I love the fact that you have given me this contrast between helpful thoughts,

And unhelpful thoughts.

This empowers me.

I understand you more,

Dear mind,

By noticing that the thinking patterns you give me,

Are just thinking patterns.

I choose to use these two categories of helpful,

Versus unhelpful.

Nothing more,

Nothing less,

For distinguishing between the thoughts that pop into my mind.

I choose to look at you,

Dear mind,

Through the eyes of choice and opportunity.

I am not my automatic thoughts,

Unless I choose them,

Unless I give energy to them.

I'm coming to know more and more,

That what I am the witness to,

I cannot be.

I am beyond the words.

I am awareness.

I am magnificent.

I am essence.

The observer,

The observer,

The observer.

I am the witness that looks out from behind my eyes,

The watcher,

The noticer.

I am the intelligence behind the words that form in the mind.

Dear mind,

You have helped me connect to people in my life that I care about.

These dear sweet souls that I love.

You have helped me plan for things.

Things that have been necessary for me to organize.

Things that I have created.

Things that have been fun.

Things that have been an adventure.

Things that have helped me take care of myself and nurture my soul.

I choose to remember that I am a spiritual being having a human experience.

My consciousness is evolving every single time I notice a thought simply as a thought.

Today I choose awareness.

Today I choose wisdom.

Today I choose compassion.

Today I choose.

Today I choose.

My dear sweet mind,

I appreciate the contrast.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Dear Reuben I am rewriting the spontaneous comment to the Compassionate Affirmations For my mind that I made this morning. I love that you are slowly deepening these meditations, which are enlightening and nurturing. I am just surfacing from a week that has been challenging both physically and mentally. My mind has taken me far from shore. I’ve not liked the person I’ve been and it has been almost impossible to detach from the damaging thoughts in my mind. Thank you for throwing me a lifebuoy. 🙏
