Welcome to your meditation practice.
My name is Emelia and I will be guiding you through your meditation today.
Before we get started I invite you to find a comfortable seat or a seat.
I would like you to take a moment to relax and relax for a moment.
Inhale,
Exhale and exhale.
Inhale,
Exhale and exhale.
Inhale,
Exhale and exhale.
Inhale,
Exhale and exhale.
When you are ready find stillness,
Quiet.
Slowly close off your eyes and start to explore your breath.
Breathing as if it were your first,
The first breath you have ever taken.
You don't be afraid of the sound of the inhale or the exhale.
Let it flow,
Be full and natural.
Feeling alive and present.
Take five more breaths just like this and as you inhale allow your lungs to fill with fresh air.
As you exhale release tensions and stress only holding on to what serves you.
Feel your body slowing down as you come into a state of calm and relaxation.
As you settle draw your awareness to the edges of your skin,
Allowing the breath to come back to a normal rise and fall.
Notice any sensations along your skin.
Shift your shoulders over your hips as you rise up through the spinal column finding length and height.
Then shift your awareness,
Taking it inward.
Feeling the sensation of your breath,
Watching it as it moves.
Finding the beauty in its simplicity.
Let everything go as you come into a space of no judgement or criticism.
An open floor for you to start unpacking your mind and sorting through your thoughts.
Deep breath in,
Deep breath out.
Keep your focus on your breath.
I want you to imagine the open floor of your mind to be similar to that of a room.
All around you,
You can see your thoughts and beliefs stacked up in boxes,
Cluttering the room with no order,
Preventing you from moving around.
Notice any sensations that come with this.
Do you feel trapped,
Weighed down?
How do you feel with all this chaos in your mind?
We will now start to sort through these thoughts,
These boxes.
Imagine that you pick up a box and open it.
What does it look like?
How does it feel?
As you open and take off the lid,
You can see a thought inside.
It can be any thought.
Bring it to the front of your mind.
What is it?
As you become aware of this thought,
Acknowledge its purpose and how it serves you.
If it is a thought that brings growth and love into your life,
Place it back into the box.
If it is a thought or belief that does not serve you,
Weighs you down,
Recognize that it no longer has a purpose and release it,
Watching as it disintegrates in your hand and drifts away.
I invite you to repeat this process over the next few minutes,
Taking another box,
Opening it up,
Examining the thought or the belief inside and determining whether or not it has a place in your mind,
In your life.
You can remove and sort through as much as you need to.
There is no rush.
When you feel that you have released enough from your mind,
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,
Release the air inside you,
Breathing it out and removing any last ties that you have with these thoughts that you have unpacked and allowed to float away.
Become aware of your body,
Asking yourself,
How do I feel?
Can you notice a sense of lightness,
A lengthening through your spine,
A calmer breath?
Take a deep breath in,
Deep breath out,
Let it go.
Gently start to move your fingers and your toes,
Sway your neck from side to side as you invite movement back into your body,
The sensations of being alive.
When you are ready,
Acknowledge the process you have been on during your practice with the intention to continue releasing all that does not serve you in your life,
Only allowing space for love,
Light and growth.
Gently flutter open your eyes and embrace your new day.
