Welcome to your meditation practice.
My name is Emilia and today we are going to be delving into the theme of connection with ourselves.
I invite you to get comfortable sitting on a pillow,
Lying against a wall,
Lying back on your bed or even on your mat,
Whatever feels good for you.
And when you are ready,
Shifting your gaze to an object in front of you,
Putting all your awareness on that object,
Keeping it in focus as the rest of the world starts to fade out around you.
And when you are ready,
In your own time,
Gently closing off the eyes as you shift the gaze down to the bottom of the eyelids.
Place your hands onto your heart,
Taking three long deep breaths.
Connect with your breath,
Connect with your body,
Watching as the air moves in and out,
Of your being with little effort.
Finding stillness and quiet through all the noise around you.
Lengthening through the spine and feeling a string pulling you up through the crown of your head.
Feeling the opposing forces as you ground through the hips and lift up through the spine.
If any thoughts come to surface,
Let them be.
Release all control.
Connect with your breath,
With your mind,
With your body.
Becoming aware of your heartbeat.
Visualizing the heart pumping blood throughout the body,
Watching as the blood moves into each and every cell.
Transporting all your vital nutrients,
Oxygen,
And removing everything that does not serve you and the functioning of your body.
Noticing any thoughts that are at the surface of your mind.
Not picking on one in specific,
Just letting them float.
Stepping out and being the observer rather than being in the thought itself.
Creating a new perspective.
Taking your hand out and visualizing,
Grabbing hold of these thoughts,
Placing them into your palm.
These thoughts can be good or bad.
Whatever they are,
Reaching out and taking them into our hands.
Then slowly dropping them down,
Allowing them to float away.
Leaving a new slate in your mind.
A canvas that you can paint in any way that you choose.
On the floor you can see a bucket filled with paint,
Brushes,
Sponges,
A whole bunch of tools that you can use to paint your canvas.
You are the artist of your mind.
Connect with your body.
Mold your being.
You pick up a paintbrush,
Picking up a paint color of your choice.
And then with the paintbrush,
Dipping it into the paint.
Placing the brush onto your canvas and writing out the affirmation,
I am enough.
I am enough.
Repeat this in your mind.
Feel the sensations flowing through your body.
I am enough.
And taking a step back from your canvas,
Finding your comfortable seats down on the floor in your mind and staring at these words.
In order to connect with your body,
With your mind,
You need to love yourself entirely.
It is a process,
It is a journey.
There are things that we may want to change about ourselves,
To get rid of.
But these things are part of you.
You are incredible.
You are unique.
You are beautiful in so many ways.
Be your own reason to smile,
To live,
To love.
Your experiences have shaped you.
But you are not your past.
You are not your future.
You are who you are now.
And you have the ability to pick up that paintbrush and paint whatever you want on your canvas.
Be grateful for the journey and path that you are travelling.
Be grateful for the experiences you have had,
That you are going to have.
And only do what feels good for you.
Bring your awareness back to your breath as you connect into your body.
Relax the shoulders.
Let it go.
And when you are ready,
In your own time,
Gently moving the fingers and the toes,
Moving and feeling alive.
Gently fluttering the eyelids and opening the eyes.
