Hello,
My name is Rebecca Galla-Jones and I'm joining you from Atlanta,
Georgia.
So today I'd like to share with you this little concept of it only matters if you make it matter.
Find a comfortable seated position,
Standing against the wall for some supports or even lying down.
You might even be seated on a sofa or in a chair with your feet touching the ground.
None of that matters at all.
Just finding a place where you can be receptive for a few moments and tune out of other things and tune into you and tune into this concept,
This idea.
So that is something that I,
When I heard myself say that,
I didn't even realize what I was saying.
And it's a little catchphrase that I've kept with me for many,
Many years now.
As a long time yoga teacher,
It's something that I often say while I'm teaching because we get caught up in what matters,
The promotion,
The new house,
The accolades.
And instead of thinking,
Well,
There's no value to that unless I put value in it,
Right?
We don't really understand what someone in a foreign language is saying about us because we don't understand the words.
We can't speak that language.
So it's almost as if we have to reprogram ourselves then to not speak the same language,
The language of what does success look like?
What does so and so think is important,
Right?
What do I think is important and what matters to me?
And it only matters if I make it matter.
So you're in your spot that you have created for yourself.
Allow the eyes to flutter closed and then just start to breathe.
And in your mind's eye,
You might bring in the color green.
Oh,
In the energy system or what is often thought of as the chakra system,
The color green is attributed to the heart.
And it is thought of as a place of love and acceptance.
So you might call that gentle color into your mind and almost like a kaleidoscope,
All of the different colors that can be there just settling on that green and allowing it to just permeate and coming from a place of love and acceptance,
Coming from a place of love and acceptance,
Coming from a place of love and acceptance.
So letting go of the stereotypical things that matter.
And you might call to mind things that matter to you,
Things that are important to you.
And one of the most important things for all of us is to have a sense of peace.
Gently just introduce that word into your mind,
Peace.
More men,
More men.
Leaning into that idea of saying the word repeatedly to yourself,
Peace.
And use your breath,
Breathe in and out,
Whether you're drawing the breath in through your nose and out through the mouth or using that nice systematic way of breathing in through your nose and out through your nose.
And I'm going to leave you for just a moment.
And let that word of peace to settle in and let that breath help you to find more of that within.
Now very slowly you're just going to release that mantra,
That word that you repeated,
And yet still keep it with you at the same time,
That idea of peace.
And you can let go of the breath or just let it slowly kind of wane.
And then keep those concepts with you throughout the day.
Just a little bit of gentle breath to remind and maybe that word comes into the mind.
And then our phrase of the day,
It only matters if you make it matter.
I'm Rebecca Gella-Jones.
Let's take it one breath at a time.
See you soon.
