Today's meditation is about gratitude.
Take a nice deep breath.
Close your eyes.
Feel your body relaxing.
Feel your mind relaxing.
Just remember that there is zero possibility that you can do this wrong and there's no way that you can do it more right.
We're just feeling grateful today.
So feel your awareness go down inside your body.
Find that space of gratitude,
Of appreciation,
Where you carry that in your body.
And wherever you feel that gratitude is perfect,
Even if it's different than where you expected.
Just notice where it is in your body.
And as you move your awareness,
Just moving it closer and closer to this place,
Notice what this space of gratitude looks like.
Notice how much space it's taking up in your body.
This space of gratitude and appreciation doesn't have a color.
Is it solid or not?
Does it have movement or not?
Just whenever you're noticing about it,
Just be with it.
Feeling what it feels like to be with it.
And then taking a breath and moving your awareness into it completely.
On an exhale,
Move your awareness into that space of gratitude and appreciation so that you're in it.
You're of it.
You are feeling it completely.
And what's that like to be in this space of appreciation and gratitude?
From this space,
Notice your body and all that you're grateful for regarding your body,
Whatever that is.
Your heart that's beating,
Your lungs that are pulling in air,
Your eyes that see all the beauty in the world,
Your ears that hear music and laughter,
All of your senses,
Your skin,
Your muscles,
Your bones.
Feeling the gratitude about the movement that the body has and its capacity to heal.
Your gratitude for your immune system,
Your ability to taste delicious food,
To smell all the beautiful,
Wonderful smells in this world,
The ability to sleep and rest.
Gratitude for the capacity to be excited and thrilled.
All of those parts of your body,
Just feeling immense gratitude for the complexity,
For the intricacy of all the body systems,
All working together.
And just allow your space of gratitude to extend and include your entire body.
And then as you see a parade of people in your life,
And then see a parade of people in your life that you're so grateful for,
Such love and compassion for all these people that are in your life,
Whether it's your parents,
Your spouse,
Kids,
Siblings,
Lovers,
Grandparents,
All of your friends and neighbors,
Your tribe of people,
Your coworkers,
All the people that are in your life,
And even the ones that you don't really know,
Like the doctors and nurses who are working in hospitals,
The people that are helping and serving and providing,
People that you see at the grocery,
People that you see on the walk with your dog and the animals in our lives,
Just feeling so much gratitude and appreciation for all of our animals.
The ones that greet us with such enthusiasm,
The ones that sit on our laps,
The ones that go for walks,
The ones that are in our homes or in nature,
The ones that we can hold or not hold that we can connect with,
The animals we just watch or hear.
Just feel that connection and the appreciation for the animals in our lives.
Just allow that space of gratitude to grow and grow to include all of the people and all of the animals in our lives.
Having that expansion and allowing yourself to remember all the experiences you've had,
The big things like weddings and birds,
Family holidays,
And also the daily things,
Like tasting a delicious meal,
Feeling snuggles and glances over first sips of coffee,
How your cheeks hurt from laughing so hard,
Being grateful for times when relaxing and having fun,
All of those experiences,
Summertime,
Autumn,
Winter,
Spring,
Travel,
Milestones,
Family trips,
Trips with friends,
And other experiences that are just flooding you with gratitude and appreciation.
Just feeling your gratitude and appreciation expand to include all of these experiences and all of these things that we have in our life that bring joy to our home,
A warm and comfortable bed that we can curl up in and sleep late,
A fluffy towel,
Or a car that's so fun to drive,
Treasured heirlooms,
Clothes you love to wear,
All of the things in life that bring such joy.
Feel that space of gratitude expand and expand to include all the lovely things in your life.
Then feeling that gratitude and appreciation expanding even further out into nature,
The air that we breathe clean and crisp provides us the oxygen for bodies,
The abundant sun,
The moon,
And trees,
Everything that's in our world,
In nature,
Like oceans and lakes and rivers,
Mountains and fields of flowers,
Feeling such appreciation for rain and snow,
For the variety that our world gives us,
Feeling gratitude for food that comes from our earth,
All of the innovation that we have,
Power and electric technology,
So grateful for all these things,
These things that make our life so easy and enhanced,
Like music,
Dancing,
Art,
Restaurants,
Games,
Thrill rides,
Sports,
All those things that bring such joy.
Feel that gratitude and appreciation for all these things,
Sunrises,
Sunsets,
Even as far out as our planet spinning perfectly in perfect proximity to other planets,
Just feel your gratitude expand to include all of that.
Now just taking time to be in silence,
Feeling all of those things that are surrounding you and filling your space of gratitude,
Encompassing them all,
Just a rampage of appreciation,
Rampage of gratitude,
Fully feeling and experiencing all of those good feelings,
Just feel what it feels like to be in that space of gratitude for everything around and in and of us,
Feeling this space,
Your connection to self,
Feel your connection to others,
Your connection to source,
What it looks like from this space,
What it feels like in this space,
Allowing all the other things for which you are so grateful to just pour in and then bringing all that gratitude,
All that awareness,
Receiving all of it completely,
Being in it,
Being of it,
Basking in it,
Feeling it not only in your body but extending far beyond your body,
Knowing that this is a space that you can come to and be in easily because this is your natural state of being and staying in this space as long as you wish and when you feel full,
When you feel quenched,
When you feel that you've received and experienced all that you need to experience to propel you throughout today,
This week and beyond and your body will let you know that all this work that you've done is anchored all the way into cellular memory even into your DNA.
It's written in your subconscious mind flashing millions of times every split second without you even thinking about it and written in your conscious awareness able to be retrieved at will.
It lets you know that this is done by bringing full feeling back into your arms and legs,
Your fingers and toes,
Normal awareness back into your mind,
Your body,
Your brain and then as it's complete,
You'll open your eyes.
