Hi,
My name is Robert Aceves and I welcome you to this mindfulness meditation,
Happy Moments.
Today we're going to practice going back in time to remember all those happy memories we have in our past.
For that I'm going to ask you to go to a place where no one will interrupt you for the next few minutes where you can close your eyes and relax.
Let's begin.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in and exhale.
Take another deep breath in and exhale.
That's it.
Now I'm going to ask you to relax your body starting with your head,
Relaxing your face,
Relaxing your neck and shoulders,
Relaxing your arms,
Relaxing your back and legs,
And relaxing your feet.
Relaxing your whole body.
It's always important to relax our bodies in order to do the inner work.
So just let your body relax there as we go back in time and I'm going to ask you to remember the last happy memory you have.
And I want you to remember the colors of that moment.
Were you alone or were someone with you?
And recall the sensations of that moment.
Perhaps you can also remember the feeling you are having in that moment.
And that's it.
Now I want you to go back even further and remember another moment where you felt really happy.
And again,
Remember the colors of that moment.
Perhaps you can listen to the sounds.
What kind of sounds were there in that moment?
What sensations were there in your body in that moment?
Do you remember what you were thinking?
Can you experience that feeling right now?
That's it.
Now I'm going to ask you to go back even further and remember another happy experience you had perhaps a few years ago.
And you remember the colors of that moment.
Was it during the day or was it at night?
What about the temperature of that moment?
Was it hot?
Was it cold?
Can you remember the movements in your body?
Were you moving fast?
Were you sitting down?
What was going on in that moment?
And that's it.
Now we're going to go even further.
When you were a child,
Do you remember when you were a child some of the things you did that made you happy?
Perhaps playing with some friends or hanging out with your family or doing some kind of activity that made you very,
Very happy.
Do you remember that feeling of being a child and having no worries and just playing what was your favorite game back then?
Do you remember that feeling of playing with your friends or perhaps playing alone?
Do you remember what it felt like to be a child in your body?
Do you remember that feeling of getting up early in the morning because you really wanted to do something?
Do you remember your favorite food when you were a child?
Is there something that you loved eating that you couldn't stop eating because you loved it so much?
Do you remember that feeling of being a child in your body that made you happy?
That's it.
Now I'm going to ask you to go back and remember different moments in your life when you were happy either when you were a child or older teen or whatever.
Just remember different times in your life when you felt really,
Really happy.
Do you think And that's it.
And now from all those moments,
I'm going to ask you to pick one.
The one moment in your life from any time that you felt is one of the happiest moments that you've ever had.
And that's it.
Now with this moment,
We're going to go back to that moment and I'm going to ask you to intensify those feelings.
Starting with the colors.
We're going to make it brighter.
So as you remember this moment,
Imagine the sounds getting louder.
And the sensations from this moment are becoming more real.
See if you can experience this feeling right now of happiness one more time.
You can remember the temperature of the moment.
Perhaps some of the things that were said.
And the feeling that you had from being in this place.
And see if you can feel it in your body right this moment.
Bring that emotion into the present.
And developing yourself in that beautiful feeling of happiness one more time.
You can feel it in your body right now.
You can feel it in your body right now.
You can feel it in your body right now.
That's it.
And you're going to carry this feeling with you for the rest of the week.
And whenever you feel like you need a mental pill of happiness,
You're just going to remember it and bring it back to yourself.
And little by little you're going to come back to the present,
Feeling your feet,
Feeling your legs and your arms and your hands.
Your body feels lighter and lighter.
Whenever you feel like it you can open your eyes,
Stretch in your body.
That's going to be it for today.
Thank you so much for listening and I'll see you next time.
Bye.
