In this guided somatic healing practice we bring support to the adrenals and brainstem separately and then all together in a Triangle of Healing. This brings about a deep sense of healing and a much needed rest for your nervous system. This practice is deeply supportive for healing from developmental, relational and attachment trauma.

So beginning to tune into your breath.

Just noticing the breath,

No need to change the breath.

Just being curious about it.

And knowing that all your parts are welcome here.

Everything about you is welcome.

The youngest parts of you and your adult parts.

Parts that may want to let you know things.

And parts that just want to be quiet.

Everything is welcome.

So we're gonna begin by coming to the right adrenal gland.

It's sitting right on top of the right kidney at your back body.

Little bit above your waist.

It's about the size of a quarter and looks a little bit like a very small pyramid on the right side.

Focusing on the right adrenal gland.

Maybe allowing it to rest down on the kidney.

Or maybe allowing it to fill with healing light.

It's right there next to the liver and the gallbladder.

And they all work together to support you.

The kidney,

The adrenal,

The liver,

The gallbladder.

And that adrenal gland works so hard to keep you safe,

To keep you ready.

The kidney working to keep you healthy.

Focusing on the right adrenal gland.

And then whenever you're ready,

We're gonna gently head over to the left adrenal gland.

Sitting right on top of the left kidney at your back body.

This adrenal gland is a little bit like a half moon shape.

Also about the size of a quarter.

And we're gonna bring support to the left adrenal gland.

Maybe allowing it to rest down on the kidney.

Or maybe allowing it to fill with healing light.

The pancreas is close by here,

Creating those digestive enzymes for the stomach.

And the spleen is there supporting your immune system.

You can't touch one without touching into the others.

They're all supporting.

Focusing on the left adrenal gland.

Descending a ray of gratitude for how hard it works to keep you ready,

To keep you safe.

And just allowing for something a little bit new or a little bit different that can happen when we do this healing work.

Allowing for this possibility of healing and this probability of healing.

Seeing the left adrenal,

The left kidney underneath it.

And now we're really gently gonna begin to move up the spine.

So coming to the area at the spine around where the kidneys are.

We're gonna head up the spine to the very top of the spinal cord,

Right where it meets the brain.

And this is the brainstem.

And we're gonna bring support to the brainstem.

This is the center of the autonomic nervous system,

The fight,

Flight and freeze that develops really early on.

And we're gonna bring some care to that brainstem.

Maybe allowing it to rest down.

It exists right where the head sits on the body,

Right at the center there where the atlases.

And just allowing your body knows exactly what to do here.

You might be noticing some little waves of energy in the spine or little twitches.

Maybe you're noticing the jaw starting to soften at the hinges where it's connected to the skull.

Or maybe the tongue is starting to soften at the back of the throat.

Or the little muscles in your face might begin to soften here.

Or maybe you're not noticing anything at all.

And it's all good.

Bringing it the brainstem.

The muscles in the neck might be beginning to let go a little bit here.

Getting down into the shoulders.

And just knowing that your body knows exactly what to do so that some things might be holding on and some might be letting go.

So we're going to begin to move toward the triangle of healing,

Beginning to support the brainstem,

The right adrenal and the left adrenal all at the same time.

So coming down to the right adrenal,

Bringing our support there.

And then we're going to add in the left adrenal.

And then we're going to add in the brainstem.

And we're going to hold all three,

Supporting all three for about a minute.

Right adrenal,

Left adrenal and the brainstem.

Right adrenal.

Right adrenal,

Left adrenal and the brainstem supporting all three.

The triangle of healing.

And now we're going to begin just to rest in a healing silence together,

Just letting that soak into your system a little bit here.

For about a minute,

We'll rest in a healing silence.

So let's in for another one of these.

And when you feel ready,

Just taking all the time that you need,

You can go ahead and open your eyes.

Thank you. Today I โ€œfoundโ€ the brain stem but interestingly Iโ€™m definitely very stiff/frozen to the right of it. Your practices help me come into my body in a gentle exploratory way. Wonderful.

Enjoyed how slow and soothing your voice is! It was great that you took time to explain what some organs did and their shape too as it helped with visualization.
