In this practice we will connect to our feet and to the earth. We will then move up the body to the pelvis and then to the heart. This practice brings about a sense of stability and connection to the ground of our being.

We're going to do a grounding practice together and for this practice it's helpful if you can sit up in a chair with your feet flat on the floor.

If that's not available to you,

You certainly could lay down.

That would be also fine.

So finding a comfortable place to sit or to lay down and if it's comfortable for you going ahead and closing your eyes.

And I'd like you to begin by just focusing on your feet.

Just beginning to connect with your feet.

Perhaps allowing your ankles to open up a little bit here.

The ankles are gateways or portals and connecting with the soles of your feet.

Just noticing the soles of your feet and perhaps beginning to let your feet connect with the earth.

The earth has that beautiful solid strong quality basically unmovable.

So just allowing your feet to connect with the earth and then we're just going to invite that beautiful earth energy up through the soles of our feet,

Up through our ankles and then just beginning to allow that energy to come up your legs,

Up through your calves and shins,

Through your knees,

Through your hamstrings,

Your thighs,

All the way up into your pelvis.

And then just allowing your pelvis to connect with the earth,

Your sits bones.

This is such an important area,

This first energy center,

The first chakra.

It's connected up with our sense of safety or lack of safety.

So just allowing your pelvis to connect with the earth and then just allowing your pelvic bowl there to be a bowl of receptivity,

Just being receptive and then gently coming up your midline all the way up to your heart.

The heart is your center of your connection with yourself.

So just connecting with your heart and you might feel that connection all the way from the soles of your feet,

All the way up your legs,

All the way up your midline,

Through your pelvis and then up to your heart.

Just allowing the heart to soften a little bit here.

Perhaps the heart develops an armoring around it with all these shocks that happen to the heart when hard things happen to us.

So we're just bringing some support to the heart and all the different parts of you are here in the heart,

The youngest parts of you and your adult parts.

So connecting with your feet,

Connecting with the earth and connecting with your heart.

Wonderful.

And then we're just gonna rest for a few moments here.

Just resting.

So I wish you all the best.

I hope you have a lovely evening or day or whatever is next for you.

Thank you for joining me in this practice.

The tone of voice was very soothing and the process of moving up the body allowed a letting go of tension from where it is easier through where it becomes more concentrated. Thank you for a short effective meditation.
