This practice will help to cultivate safety in your body and to bring about more presence,
Calm,
And possibility.
Take your hands and very gently move them together as though you are washing them under flowing water,
Very softly and very gently.
Just do this for the next few moments,
Just slowly,
And you can watch your hands as well.
Just gaze at your hands with very gentle eyes,
Moving them slowly,
Gracefully,
Gently together with tenderness as though you are washing your hands under flowing soft water.
Now,
Take either hand and place it on opposite shoulders and very gently,
Slowly,
And softly begin stroking both hands from either shoulder down to your elbows.
And just keep doing that.
When you get to the elbows,
Take the hands back up to your shoulders and just slowly brush your hands down from the shoulders down to the elbows,
Just stroking,
Just keep that movement flowing very gently and very slowly.
Keep doing that,
Feeling the connection to the earth as you do so.
Now,
Take the tips of your fingers,
So you can stop doing that motion.
Take the tips of your fingers of both hands and place them at your eyebrow center and begin to gently stroke with either hand across from your eyebrow center down to either temples.
And just keep repeating this,
So your fingers meet in the middle at your eyebrow center and then each hand gently strokes down to your temples.
Go down to the temples and you come back to the eyebrow center,
So just stroking across the eyebrows,
Just on top of the eyebrows.
Now,
We're going to stroke under both eyes,
So take your fingers to the corner of the inside of your eyes and stroke gently under the eyes back out to the temples.
Do this a few times,
Just gentle touch,
Just rubbing,
Gently caressing.
Again,
Just notice what's happening in your body,
Any shifts or changes,
Any sighs,
Any yawns,
Any saliva that's being released in the mouth,
Perhaps a releasing of some tension through the body.
Now,
Just choose whichever one felt the most reassuring to you,
Whether it was the action of gently washing your hands,
Maybe stroking from your shoulders to your elbows,
Or maybe using your fingertips to stroke over your eyes and under your eyes.
And just do that one more time,
Whichever one felt the most reassuring for you.
And whilst you do this,
I want you to ask yourself,
What if?
And here I want you to ponder,
Whatever your desires are right now,
Maybe feeling more calm,
Maybe feeling more grounded,
Maybe feeling more at ease or more playful or more rested.
What if I was calmer,
Or what if I felt more rested?
And as you continue with this gentle self-touch,
I want you to lean into this new possibility and just simply notice if there's any little shifts or changes that start to unfold.
So just inquiring,
What if I felt?
And then fill in the gap of what you want to feel.
And allow that possibility to simply bubble up as you continue with this gentle self-touch.
Just do another 20 seconds or so like this.
Again,
Just notice what's present in your body.
Beautiful.
Begin to wrap up this practice to just releasing your hands and just simply notice how you feel in your body.
