To face your fears, with deep love let go and surrender as you receive this healing and powerful gift to soften and transform your fears. Lay down and make yourself as comfortable as possible, use blankets and pillows to adjust your position. If you like it can be nice to use an eye mask to help create a calming atmosphere.

Welcome to this yoga nidra practice.

My name is Rachel and today this yoga nidra is called to face your fears.

The real opposite of love is fear.

In love one expands,

In fear one shrinks,

In fear one becomes closed,

In love one opens,

In fear one doubts,

In love one trusts.

This is an invitation for you to find a little quiet and peace from your daily experiences.

When a parent lays their child down to sleep,

They do it with the utmost care and tender loving touch.

Bring yourself to lay down with the same loving tender care,

Turning this moment into a loving practice,

Welcoming yourself to this deeply restful space.

Take your time now,

Move and shift every part of you until you feel satisfied with how you are laying.

If you need to move throughout the practice,

Then do so with even greater loving presence and know that it is okay for you to be completely at rest and comfortable.

It is why you are here after all.

Take your arms and legs a comfortable distance away from your body,

Arms relaxed and feet heavy turned out to the sides.

Notice where your shoulders are,

Are they pulled up towards your ears?

If so,

Then gently slide them down your back and free up space around your neck.

Let your eyes close and the darkness can be a signal that you are now practicing yoga nidra.

Bring stillness to the body as you bring all awareness to the sounds in the room around you.

Listen,

Let your senses pick up all and every sound.

What can you hear?

Move closer and closer towards the sounds just to the outside of your body.

Now imagine a golden thread appearing about 20 centimeters around the edges of your body,

Outlining a safe container for your body to rest into.

Only now can you hear the sounds from your inner world,

Safely protected within the golden bubble around you.

From this place,

Take five long soft breaths in through the nose and exhaling out through the nose.

Soften deeper into the safe,

Supported space within the golden bubble.

Soften your forehead,

Let the eyes sink into the skull.

Relax the teeth and tongue,

Your whole mouth.

Your whole head is soft and heavy.

Take this feeling of softness and heaviness down through your throat and into your chest.

Bring it to the rest of your heart.

Move this feeling of softness and heaviness down through your throat and into your chest,

Bringing it to rest in your heart.

Take a breath into your heart now,

Soft and full.

Breathe in calm,

Calm peace.

How do you want to feel?

Begin to ask your heart,

Heart,

What is your deepest desire right now?

Stay in your heart and soften a little more as your heart lovingly responds.

Listen for your heart's truest desire for you right now.

The wording should be very precise and clear,

So do not hurry,

The words will come.

This statement from your heart is called a sankalpa.

Here are some short positive statements which can be used if you are unsure of your own personal statement right now.

I am worthy of love.

I am successful in all that I do.

I awaken to my true power.

Connect with your words of choice and then speak them silently to yourself.

Speak with commitment and true belief that this is true for you right now.

Your sankalpa is true and right and it feels good as you allow it to rest deep into your heart.

Connect with the power of your sankalpa and let it be a silent guide with you as you now move into the rotation of consciousness.

Only listen to my voice and let yourself be guided with no attachment.

Only listening as you go on a journey through the body.

As if you were your right thumb,

Move all experience into your right thumb now.

Feel it,

Be it,

Become your right thumb.

Now follow on as you become all four fingertips.

Become the palm of your hand,

Right wrist and forearm,

Inner elbow,

Shoulder and armpit,

Side waist,

Right hip,

Thigh,

Knee,

Shin,

Ankle.

Become the right big toe.

Become all four toes.

Become your whole right foot.

From your whole right hand to whole right foot,

Feel and become the whole right side of your body.

Whole right side.

Become it,

Feel it,

Be it.

Keep with me,

I'm right here.

Left thumb,

Become your left thumb.

Now follow on as you become all four fingertips of your fingers.

Become the palm of your hand,

Left wrist and forearm,

Inner elbow,

Shoulder and armpit,

Side waist,

Left hip,

Thigh,

Knee,

Shin,

Ankle.

Become the left big toe.

Become all four toes.

Become your whole left foot.

From your whole left hand to whole left foot,

Feel and become the whole left side of your body.

Whole left side.

Become it,

Feel it,

Be it.

Become aware of the back body.

Move into and become the backs of both heels,

Backs of both calf muscles,

Backs of both knees,

Backs of thighs,

Both buttocks,

Lower,

Middle and upper spine,

Both shoulder blades,

Back of the neck,

Back of the skull.

Become all parts of your back body that are in contact with the floor,

Holding and supporting you.

Front body now.

Become aware and become the tops of both feet,

Tops of both ankles,

Tops of knees,

Tops of thighs,

Both hip bones,

Belly button,

Lower ribs,

Both collar bones,

Centre of throat,

Forehead,

Top of the head.

Wash over all parts of the front side of your body,

Top to bottom.

Now find your third eye,

The centre point between your two eyebrows.

Feel into the space above your third eye as the forehead softens.

Temples,

Both ears,

Both eyebrows,

Both eyes.

Soften and relax.

Bridge of the nose,

Both nostrils,

Both cheeks,

Upper lip,

Lower lip,

Teeth,

Chin.

Follow from your chin up round your jaw,

Around your entire face.

And now feel your whole face.

Whole head,

Whole neck,

Whole upper body.

Both hands together,

Both arms together,

Both feet together,

Both legs together.

Now feel and become your whole body.

Whole body awareness.

Feel it,

Become it,

Be it.

Whole body.

Find your innermost point.

Move inwards,

Within and sense your organs,

The tissues and membranes of your whole inner body.

Now sense your bones,

The whole skeletal body.

Move from your bones to become your skin.

Bring awareness to the skin covering your body.

Shift from the skin to the space between your skin and the edges of the golden bubble.

Feel into this space,

The in between space.

In your golden bubble,

See yourself in this protected space.

Feel into the edges and notice how comfortable you feel.

How safe and rested are you in your golden bubble.

From the outer edges of your bubble,

Move into the softness of your heart.

Remember your sankalpa and breathe it into your heart now.

Exhale and feel the exhale move to the outer edges of your bubble.

Inhale again,

Moves you into the space of your heart.

Exhale spreads through the golden bubble.

Even your breath feels protected and safe.

Conjure a sense of gratitude for your golden bubble and the healing cocoon it is creating for you.

Are you still with me?

Listen.

We are moving into the mental emotional experience.

Leave judgement and concentration behind and let the experiences grow by their own natural will.

In your body,

Let the experience of heaviness become you.

Feel,

Sense and be heavy right now.

So heavy you couldn't lift your arm even if you tried.

So heavy.

Now become light.

Light as a feather.

Feel and sense lightness in your whole body.

So light you could float up and up with lightness.

Release light and heavy.

Now experience heat,

Intense heat flooding through your body.

The body feels hot.

Sense and feel heat in the body.

Now awaken the feeling of coldness.

Cold spreading throughout the body.

Remember what it feels like to be cold.

Release hot and cold.

Now when I say fear,

Let yourself become fear.

How does fear show up in your experience?

Sense and feel fear now.

When I say love,

Let yourself become love.

How does love move and appear in your experience?

Sense into and feel deep love now.

Bring yourself back to the space between the eyebrows,

The third eye.

Soften here and let your experience open from this point.

Visualise and imagine a well forming from your third eye,

Deepening itself,

Spinning down into the centre of your head.

Imagine the well filling with the golden light from your golden bubble.

The golden light brings protection and courage.

Courage to overcome your deepest fears.

You let the light penetrate deep into your third eye and into the centre of your head.

Feel the power it brings as it awakens the adventurer of the unknown within you.

A lover of life,

You see your fear as a great inquiry.

To hold your fear with love and wonder.

To the unknown power it beholds.

In a bold,

Strong movement,

The golden light moves down the entirety of your spinal column.

Your spine now a tube of this golden light.

It divides itself into three golden columns.

The one in the centre,

Lighting up the spinal fluid,

Flowing up and down the spine.

Connecting from the root or base of the spine,

All the way up to the top of the spinal column,

Just behind the third eye.

The two other tubes of light are placed just to the sides of the middle column.

They too are connected at the root and top of the spinal column.

But instead of them flowing in a straight line,

They begin to circle themselves around the middle tube of light.

Circling in opposite directions to each other,

They create a spiralling motion moving up through the spinal column.

Visualise and create that spiralling golden light flowing up through the spine.

Now that power,

Courage and protection is a force moving through your entire spinal system.

Feel the connectedness to your torso and upper body.

The strength and power you hold within.

Golden light rhythmically flowing upwards into the space behind your third eye,

The centre of your head.

This is where you meet your fear.

Let your fear be held in this golden light.

Let the golden light soften the fear.

Held and forgiven.

You are protected.

You are courageous.

You are powerful.

And just like that,

In a short burst of energy,

The twirling golden lights move up the spinal column one last time.

It moves through the centre of your head,

Carrying with it your softened fear.

It brings it up and out the third eye,

Back into the space of the golden bubble.

The golden well from your third eye to centre of head slowly begins to spiral up,

Closing the opening it had made.

You sense a softness spreading across your forehead.

At the same time,

Your throat softens.

Your heart softens.

Your solar plexus softens.

Your belly softens.

Pelvic floor softens.

Whole body softens.

The golden bubble has done its work,

Supplying you with protection,

Courage and power.

You thank the golden light.

And as you thank it,

You release it,

For someone else to receive its potent healing power.

You have no fear in your heart.

It's been transformed into adventure and forgiveness.

You have all you need and you can find it again and again and again,

Whenever you need it.

It's time to repeat your sankalpa.

Let it be spoken with courage and power.

Hold it true to your heart,

Letting love and fear exist together,

Knowing that the love you hold will always overcome your fears.

Your sankalpa is true and you have it planted deep into your heart,

Forever a reminder of your love.

Become love and let it move like a wave over your body and give thanks to receiving this healing from your inner self.

You may now begin to awaken your body through small gentle movements.

Letting your breath deepen and bringing your awareness back to the space around you.

Let the breath expand and bring new life inwards.

You can take as much time as you need now to roll to your favourite side and take a moment to rest with your knees drawn into your chest.

Just remind yourself that your love is greater than any fear.

When you are ready,

Bring yourself gently up to a comfortable seat,

Still remaining in that loving and tender place.

Let your hands rest on top of your heart,

Reconnecting with the beating heart.

Take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale out.
