This expansion practice is a beautiful way to be completely present in the moment. To really feel yourself as energy and presence rather than just a physical being. It brings us to awareness of the breath and awareness of the moment.

Find yourself somewhere comfortable to lay or sit where you can completely just be in stillness and surrender.

Allow your hands to gently fall into your lap or lay comfortably by your side.

Allow your eyes to gently close.

Take a moment now just to take three deep and cleansing breaths into your belly.

On the inhalation,

The belly expands away from your spine.

On the exhalation,

It falls gently back to its resting place.

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Feel the beating of your heart in the centre of your chest begin to slow and just find its own natural rhythm.

Feel the rise and fall of the chest.

As you inhale,

Imagine this beautiful energy which surrounds you entering the body.

As you exhale,

Allow any tension or tightness to simply melt away.

Take a slow deep breath in through the back of your shoulders and allow the breath to gently move through your heart space in the centre of your chest.

As you exhale,

Feel this warmth and unconditional love begin to spread throughout your chest,

Your shoulders and your arms.

As you continue to breathe,

Allow this warmth to spread throughout your entire body.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Become aware of any part of your body where there may be discomfort,

Tension,

Tightness and send there a loving breath.

Allow your body to be completely breathed and supported by your breath.

Anywhere you are holding emotion,

Resentment,

Anger,

Fear,

Grief,

Just allow it to dissipate with every loving breath.

In this moment there is no judgement,

No guilt,

No ego.

There is only breath and there is only this moment.

There is no past,

There is no future.

There is only here and now.

Allow yourself to simply breathe,

To simply be.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

As you allow the body to be completely breathed and held in this space,

Begin to feel yourself expand.

Expand beyond your physical shell,

Allowing any barriers to simply drop away.

Continue to breathe,

Continue to expand until you feel yourself become as big as this entire space.

And in this space of presence and expansion you are not your body,

You are not your hair,

You are not your skin,

You are not where you live,

You are not the car you drive,

You are simply this loving energy that exists in this present moment.

As you allow yourself to completely surrender to this moment,

This space,

This stillness,

Know that in this moment you are your truest self.

You are completely aligned and authentically who you are.

Allow yourself just to be present,

Aligned and aware only of the breath.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

When you are ready,

Slowly bring your awareness now back to your physical body,

Your mortal body.

Become aware of the room you are in,

The floor,

The walls,

The ceiling.

Feel where your body comes into contact with the ground below.

Allow your awareness to become completely external.

Become aware of the noises in the room and the noises outside the room.

Begin to allow your breath to deepen.

Slowly begin to allow some gentle movement back into your body in the way that only you know you need.

Gently moving the fingers and toes.

Gently begin to blink open your eyes.

Allow now a gentle smile into your heart and give loving thanks for this time you have given yourself just to be.
