One-pointed concentration practice of focusing your awareness on counting your inhales and exhales to 99 breaths. It's a great introduction to meditation which requires one-pointed concentration. Here, you are practicing your awareness on an object in the present moment without judging your experiences.

Hi,

My name is Priya.

Welcome to your practice for counting your breath for focus and concentration.

So the technique is really simple.

You basically begin to find your inhale and then when your inhale gets to its capacity,

You exhale and then when you let your exhale completely empty,

You count one.

Filling up your lungs and taking another inhale,

You count two.

And emptying out your lungs,

Exhale three.

Inhale four.

And continuing so on and so forth for about 99 breaths.

But know that for your practice,

You might choose to stop before that or you might continue to extend it.

There's no right or wrong.

It's just an opportunity to explore concentration and focus on one point.

And today,

The point that you could begin to explore is awareness to counting as well as possibly the sensations of your body and your breath.

So whenever you're ready,

You might begin to find yourself in a comfortable shape that might be standing,

That might be sitting down or possibly laying down.

And then in your own time,

Know that your eyes can be open or closed.

And in your own time,

You can begin to go there.

I'll facilitate this practice today and count,

However,

As you take this practice in the future,

You could choose to use my voice or possibly begin to become your own guide and take the inhales and the counts on your own.

There is no right or wrong.

Either way,

It's up to you where you would like to go and how you would like to go.

So whenever you're ready,

Finding your comfortable shape,

It could be seated,

Standing or laying down and then turning your attention to your body.

Notice where you make contact with the surface beneath you.

And then you can make a choice with your eyes.

Maybe your eyes stay open or possibly they stay closed.

And then whenever you're ready,

We'll find our first exhale.

Perfect 🥰 you're voice is so soothing & calming, I loved listening to it! I also highly recommend your Intention Deck of cards 👌 they are brilliant and having worked with you I know that you are brilliant also! A truly magnificent woman who helped me more than you could possibly know. I still use a lot of techniques you taught me to this day, and still read all my notes!! My complex ptsd has improved significantly and I couldn't have done it without you. I also now walk away if I get angry & ground myself with the breath work you taught me, so a massive thank you Priya!! You're an angel, I'm convinced ❤️ 🙏 ✌🏼
