Begin your day with serenity, and by a simple technique Patrick shares, learn to engage the parasympathetic nervous system to manifest calm, confidence to begin your day. With Patrick's approach, you can call up this calm confidence throughout your day, and your parasympathetic nervous system will automatically kick in the clam confidence for the rest of the day, until you rest again that evening.

Good morning.

What a beautiful morning.

Today,

I am going to show you and guide you to bringing a peaceful,

Calm,

Confident energy into the world.

I'd like you to start in a laying down on your back position.

Think about how grateful you are for the rest you received last night and for the day that lies ahead of you.

And I want you to begin,

Stretch your arms above your head,

Point your toes the opposite direction and stretch your body.

Feel the stretch and now relax.

Take a deep breath.

And if you've listened to my series on releasing stored negative energy,

You've just tapped into that release and begun to release stored negative energy from the day before.

One more time,

Stretch your arms farther above your head,

Point your toes farther the other direction.

Inhale,

Hold,

And exhale.

Relax.

We're going to continue and we're going to tap into our parasympathetic nervous system.

The nervous system that's responsible for calm,

Confident energy.

It's the opposite of fight or flight.

It's the nervous system that keeps us calm,

Keeps us energized,

And keeps us thinking clearly.

Put your hands at your side.

Take a deep inhale in and a deep exhale out.

With your next inhale,

I want you to inhale.

Turn your face towards the left.

Draw your knees up and in with your feet close to your glutes and exhale.

Bring your face to the center.

Inhale,

Turn your face to the right.

Exhale,

Come back to center.

And now we'll add to this.

Knees are still bent towards the ceiling.

Feet close to your glutes.

Inhale,

Face the left.

Turn your knees down to the right.

Exhale,

Knees back to the ceiling,

Face towards center.

Inhale,

Face to the right,

Knees to the left.

Exhale,

Knees to center,

Face to center.

You're releasing stored negative energy in your neck,

In your jaw,

In your face,

In your hips and your glutes.

When you twist,

You release adrenaline through the adrenal glands.

This time,

On your inhale,

Turn your face to your left,

Your knees to your right.

Hold that position and exhale.

Inhale,

Hold,

Exhale.

And now I'm going to give you my personal life hack on how to awaken the parasympathetic nervous system right now and throughout the day when life begins to take over.

When you inhale,

On your exhale,

I'd like you to make a humming noise.

Your teeth are slightly separated.

You need to feel your teeth vibrate,

So it'll sound like this.

Inhale,

Then exhale.

Exhale.

Feel your teeth vibrate.

Now inhale,

Face center,

Knees center.

Exhale,

Face to right,

Knees to the left.

Inhale,

Then exhale with a hum where your teeth vibrate.

Inhale,

Knees center,

Face center.

Extend your feet straight down.

Reach your hands overhead,

Point your toes and stretch.

Inhale,

Exhale.

There's science behind what I just taught you.

And trust me,

This technique will work.

When you find yourself during the day,

Frustrated,

You're feeling the opposite of calm and confident.

And you need to awaken your parasympathetic nervous system.

Take a deep breath.

And when you exhale,

Hum quietly,

Feel your teeth vibrate.

The teeth vibrating is a reminder to the parasympathetic nervous system to bring calm,

Confident energy to you.

It's the parasympathetic nervous system dinner bell.

When you ring the bell,

It will come running.

When you're stuck in traffic,

When your boss makes you angry,

When a coworker says something to you that just rubs you the wrong way.

Find your time,

Create your space.

Take a deep breath,

But this time add purpose to it.

Hum,

Let your teeth vibrate and awaken your parasympathetic nervous system.

And bring calm,

Confident energy from the morning bedtime routine to when your feet hit the floor to when you go through your day until you return to the bed at nighttime.
