Welcome to this meditation on mindfulness of feeling with Peter Radcliffe.

Hello and welcome to this meditation on coming to your senses where we're going to focus on the sense of feeling.

Again this is important because by concentrating on feelings we bring ourselves into the present moment and if you've already done the meditation on sound this is similar.

However notice that with feelings we have two types emotional and physical and for this meditation we're going to be concentrating more on the physical feelings of the body as they present themselves in real time.

So when you're ready to begin take a few deep breaths and get yourself comfortable for this short minute meditation.

Become aware of any physical sensations you are having.

The most intense feelings will obviously present themselves first so if you're in pain or have an itch be fully aware of this to begin with.

After spending a respectful amount of time on the more intense feelings become aware of the other feelings such as the feet on the ground or your bottom on the cushion or the clothes brushing against your body.

Perhaps these feelings are pleasant or unpleasant.

Try not to label them but just let your feelings keep you in the present moment.

As you become aware of the ever more subtle feelings you might even start to notice the tingling feeling of just the body being alive in and of itself.

You might want to concentrate on your fingertips for this tingling feeling because it's most easily felt there.

The very essence of just your body being alive.

Because it's constant we normally don't feel this feeling that is ever present but as we concentrate it becomes more and more apparent.

As you absorb yourself into this feeling you might be interested to feel how blissful that feeling is.

Spend some time just concentrating on all the feelings whether they're gross or subtle allowing them to keep you here in the present moment and sit in this stillness until you're ready to finish the meditation.

Nice! Didn’t know it was gonna be about physical and was hoping for emotional, but it was nonetheless an effective meditation. Thank you! 🌺😂🌺
