Be able to challenge our perfectionism mindset. You have everything you need to thrive already, feel how perfect of a being you are already, without having to do anything else. You are perfection, breathe through your struggles of perfection.

Hello gorgeous and welcome to your guided meditation.

I invite you to begin by finding a comfortable seated position or perhaps today you would like to lay down flat on your back.

This is our opportunity to open up dialogue with our body,

With our heart and ask what it is that we need.

By taking this moment to turn down the outside world and turn up the volume to our internal voice,

We are able to self heal,

To self regulate.

So give yourself this gift.

And if you have not already done so,

I invite you to begin by tuning into the breath and closing your eyes.

Inhale nice and slow.

And exhale fully.

And with each breath just visualizing that you are sinking deeper and deeper into this state of relaxation.

Seeing a sense of weightlessness occur as we just give ourselves this opportunity to surrender to this moment.

To trust ourselves.

To let go of our thoughts,

The to do list,

The constant movement of thoughts.

Know that they will have a time and place but for these blissful few moments your only responsibility is to relax.

And as you find yourself sinking deeper and deeper into a state of equanimity,

I invite you to visualize yourself when you are a little girl.

As you gaze upon this vision of yourself,

I invite you to recall the small mistakes,

The little bumps in the road that we all come across as a child.

Stumbling perhaps when you took those first steps.

Coloring outside the lines.

Maybe not quite getting the grade we wanted.

Or having someone beat you in a race.

Perhaps getting in trouble at times as we try to navigate this crazy thing called life.

Perhaps finding a gentle smile on your lips and realizing that after all of this you still learned how to walk.

How to read.

How to write.

How to create art.

How to not only navigate but thrive in life.

Perhaps channeling that energy you had as a child and remembering your zest for life.

Your lack of worry or stress on getting it exactly right because you were enjoying the process of learning and growing.

This beautiful energy is the energy we should take into our wellness journey.

We would never be mad at a child if they didn't show up for 5 out of 10 workouts.

We would celebrate their effort.

We would never be mad at a child if they had 3 slices of pizza instead of 2.

We would never be mad at a child if they didn't get their goals exactly as they envisioned them.

So why do we take that energy to ourselves and our wellness journey?

Why are we often our own worst critic?

We can become so hard on ourselves at times that it makes us want to give up.

We feel like if we can't do it perfectly we shouldn't do it at all.

But let's take this opportunity to remind ourselves that just like nature where nothing is rushed yet everything happens on time that we have our own journey to walk.

That it is perfectly okay to be imperfect.

To fall down sometimes,

To fall off our wellness journey.

As long as we take those lessons and get up again.

To remind ourselves that each day is a brand new day.

To have the strength to leave yesterday in the past and show up for yourself each and every day as an opportunity to do the best you can in this moment.

Reminding ourselves that we will be on this journey for the next 20,

30,

50 years.

That our health and wellness extends far beyond a physical goal but rather this intrinsic life transformational opportunity to be stronger,

To be smarter,

To be happier and healthier.

Not than anyone else but then a version of ourselves from yesterday.

And when we take it day by day we remind ourselves that we can let go of the pressures to be perfect.

We can let go of the temptation to throw in the towel if we feel we've slipped up a bit.

That it's okay to enjoy this journey,

To have a treat meal,

To go out with friends,

To make this lifestyle work for you.

I invite you to remember that we hold the power to release stress,

To release the worry,

The guilt,

To channel our childlike behavior,

To be carefree and in the moment,

To be ourselves and to trust our own path.

You are not solely defined by your past choices but rather the thoughts and actions of your present self.

So we must ask ourselves,

Who do we want to be?

Un endlessly pursuing perfectionism or blissfully stepping in to our happiest and healthiest version of ourselves.

Bringing your hands to heart center,

Begin rubbing the palms together,

Creating that heat and light within.

Taking those palms,

Clasp them over your heart and I invite you to think of three things in this moment you are incredibly grateful for.

When you're ready,

Slowly open your eyes.

Thank you for joining me,

Have a beautiful day.
